The place is beautiful, and the owners are very accommodating. They even let us stay in a bigger room, which we really appreciated. Everything was clean, and the lakefront was really nice. The rooms and washrooms were also very clean. It’s an excellent place to stay, especially for first-time visitors. They also have a fire pit (i think u can bring wood or just buy it there), BBQ tools (you just have to pay for the gas), and equipment you can use at the lake. Overall, we had a great stay!

This was my first stay in Muskoka and now I am planning my next visit. My friends and I had a great time. The cabin was clean, private, and the view of the lake was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend getaway.

The cabins we stayed were fine. We booked 3 cabins for our big family. It was nice as the cabins are near the lake and cozy at night with the bonfire. We were just not prepared with the bugs and mosquitoes so be prepared by bringing spray. Overall it is a good place to stay in Muskoka with different amenities like kayak, etc. and recommended for family outing.

Excellent location, clean room & sheets & towels, very basic cottage, but friendly staff, good outdoor area & fire pits. Excellent for gate away with friends & family. Very reasonable & enough for what you expect. Thank you we enjoyed our stay with our group.

Friendly staff, clean cabins, dog friendly. The closeness to the hwy was noisy. The lake, complimentary use of kayaks, in cabin a/c unit, all helped make up for that.

Really friendly host, gorgeous views, great cabins for a small family/group of friends weekend getaway in Muskoka. Really pleasantly surprised by the amenities, stoves, shower, fridge etc as I’m more used to simple log cabins. Would definitely come back in the future.

Nice area nice view of the lake Pictures were completely incorrect. We booked the family cottage for 6 people. They gave us a tiny 300 sq foot shack with the bedrooms the size of a broom closet. They showed pictures of the premium cottage which looked nothing like the dump we got. They made us pay 30 for propane for 4 nights. Complete rip off. We were given a little bigger cottage the next day. They refused to refund us our money. No privacy at all.

the cabin was OK. Deck and floors could have been Cleaner. Lake was peaceful, but was unhappy about the dock not being accesible for fishing. cabin should have been spayed for spiders and ants.

Our cabin was not at all what we saw in photos. We ended up very close to the hwy, no view of the lake. The cabin was very old and in rough shape. Furniture inside was broken and worse for wear. I would say this was a VERY rustic place to stay. We saw a mouse running around in the kitchen, windows were hard to open and kind of broken - cabin smelled of air fresheners. Cabin was NOT very clean, bugs running around in the evening. Nice dock area but the owners live on site and are always around in the background (very watchful of the property) privacy for guests is not really a priority here. Proximity to Port Carling was great however, I would not choose to stay here again and the price was very steep for the accommodations.

The cottage we got was not the one shown in the pictures. The main door had a broken glass, replaced with plywood. The kitchen had pots and pans, but nothing to cook on (only a microwave). Also, knobs on drawers kept falling off which made accessing kitchen utensils and dishes difficult. The bed was comfy, but the only other place to sit was a small outdoor bistro table set with 2 chairs. Not comfortable. The shower has a leak (a constant drip) and the bathroom faucet needs a good scrub. The view to the lake is nice, but the cottages are close to a main road, with constant traffic. Bring ear plugs if you intend to sleep there.We stayed in the cottage called HK’s Love Den. Others, while also close to the road, may be in better shape.

I want to keep this review short and to the point 1. Location if you get a cabin lake front is incredible. 2. Was nice to have a TV in the cabin but didn't have a pull out couch there was a twin bed infront of the TV in the living room. 3. fridge big enough for a few items not for a 1 week stay you'd have to replenish from foodland which is a 5min drive 4. there was no checking instructions by expedia and the list to bring was also incorrect 5. checking in requirea calling the property and communicating with the owners 6. all 4 of the dining chairs were loose and almost collapsed to the ground when we sat on them. however owners came quick to fix them 7. there's a bbq and owners asked for an additional $30 for the tank. 8. the room was made up looked like sheets were cleaned. I don't think floors are washed just probably they sweep them 9. if you are a clean freak do not stay here 10. the windows have windows coverings that are see through we ended up putting towels on the windows so we can have privacy 11. the front door had no handle to pull it to open which was silly 12. we loved having access to the kayaks location location location is a 10

Beautiful place

We had a lovely short overnight stay at The Muskoka Lake cottage. The stay was comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. We lit a fire roasted some marshmallows and star gazed until midnight
