  • This rental unit is located inside Lakewood Camping Resort, a premier oceanfront resort offering fun and relaxation for all ages. Guests have access to incredible on-site amenities including an indoor pool with hot tub, an outdoor pool, and a water park featuring a kids’ splash pad. Additional amenities include pedal boat rentals, an arcade, bicycle rentals, mini golf, and much more — all within the resort.

    This cozy and well-appointed 2-bedroom, 1-bath beach cottage is the perfect coastal retreat—just 450 steps from the sand! The main bedroom features a brand new queen mattress, while the second bedroom offers a full bed, and a sleeper sofa adds extra sleeping space—comfortably sleeping up to 6 guests.

    Enjoy a spacious kitchen, a cozy Carolina room, and multiple outdoor spaces including a covered front porch and a covered back patio—perfect for morning coffee or al fresco dining with the provided patio set.

    Inside, the kitchen and sitting area include a large TV, with three TVs total (Spectrum cable) located in the living room, kitchen/sitting area, and main bedroom.

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental was okay. Shower drain was clogged and areas weren’t vacuumed or really that clean prior to us arriving.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was all we could have asked for. I was clean and very roomy. Loved the back patio, quiet and out of the sun. Only issue I had, was after calling the rental office 2 differnt mornings to replace the stove top light, they never came. Just made it hard to see to cook.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I rented the house for my grandparents while the rest of the family stayed in campers and they had a great time. It made a good base for family dinners (10+ people) and was still convenient to all the campground amenities. Management was very polite and great to deal with, the house was clean and in condition except for the stair rail on the porch being very loose. This made it more difficult for my grandpa getting in and out of the house. Overall great experience my husband and I are even considering using the rentals for shorter stays more often than are regular family vacations.

I traveled in late fall and had an issue with the heat pump being right outside the window at the head of the bed. Woke me up every time it kicked on. May be a completely different experience in warm weather.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This villa is the ultimate cozy beach house. It was very clean and has a lot of room. The two bedrooms were plenty of space for my family of four. The living room was spacious. There is a table and sitting area as you walk through the door as well. On the back patio there is a nicely furnished sitting area with lots of space as well as a sitting area along side of the house. This villa is in a very good location. It is easy access to everywhere you would want to be in the campground. We really enjoyed our time at Lakewood.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beds were very, very uncomfortable. Paid for vacation home rental but couldn't sleep at all in beds. Had to use couch which is, of course, uncomfortable as well. They need to replace both mattresses. Also, took WAY too ;long to get security deposit back!

I have two complaints:The place was not very clean and I had to buy a broom and cleaning supplies to clean itI would definitely recommend putting a ceiling fan in the back room. It was extremely hot and very uncomfortable. Had to buy a box fan.
