11 Days at the Horizon

I have actually stayed here at the Horizon two other times. This unit was exactly identical in set up to the other condo we stayed in. Except this was the Penthouse. Other then being on the top floor…I seen no difference.Balcony is great for early in the morning coffee and enjoying the view. It’s also entertaining in the evening and a place to enjoy the beach when it’s just a bit chilly.The furniture in the unit was sparse old and very uncomfortable. Maybe another end table near the couches would be nice. The carpet is in great need of a thorough cleaning. Kitchen could use some new knives as these have seen better days and a pizza pan and a potato peeler would be a great addition. The washer and dryer were awesome.We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. The Elliott Beach Rental group were very easy to work with.

Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay. This is probably the quietest place we’ve stayed. No noise in hallways or above us because it is located on the top floor. The pool area wasn’t great but you have a whole ocean right there so that wasn’t an issue for us. We’d stay again!

Great condo, great location/view, but not so great management

We love this property. Condo's balcony is the absolute best! It's big and the view is pretty great! Just a short walk to the beach! I did, however, have problems while we stayed there. Elliot rentals did handle it, but only after I had to call to complain 5x during our trip. Process to check in is horrible. First, they sent me a non-descriptive text about how/where to check in. Usually, it's just the code, but you have to drive to one of their rental offices to get the code and keys. (you need a key card to use the elevator ~ a major pain, and oh yeah, they didn't work, so we had to go back to the rental office to get new ones, and those didn't work either! You can't get up to your condo without these keys!) If you don't have a car, DON'T stay at this property. I called on our way to find out where to check in , because they don't tell you which office. The most frustrating part of our trip were painters outside the fabulous balcony. First, when we arrived, the view was obstructed by all the plastic because they had been painting. 3 days later, painters were outside our balcony painting, (yes, it's a penthouse). and then they sat down on the balcony furniture. NOT okay, when you pay for a penthouse ocean view, and you have to close the curtains because you have strangers outside your balcony. Elliot rentals claimed they knew nothing about the construction, but the hotel property manager said it had been going on for months. Again, location is great, hotel resort is great. Pools are small, but they are fine. Also, bring household items if you can. No trash bags, hand soap, kitchen linens., small items if you are planning on using the kitchen. We rented 3 floors down 2 years ago, and that was perfect because the owners were fabulous. Sadly, we will never rent this property again.

Great place

The hotel is just a short walk from the beach about a half a block I would say. The only process I didn’t like is the checking in/out process, different locations then where we actually stayed but the staff was very friendly. Loved the private balcony, washer/dryer, full size stove were great & let’s not forget the non stick pans very convenient. I would definitely go back.
