Bringing our family together

Our family, 6 adults and 4 children enjoyed the house layout. The kitchen was a bit crowded at times with 4 adults cooking. The serving pieces were beautiful. The kitchen was very well equipped. The teenagers loved the breakfast nook. We actually used the screened-in porch even though the weather was not great. The furniture on the porch was not cleaned prior to our visit. It made for less than desirable space to socialize. All the flooring was without rugs or carpet and all were very dirty. No place for me to do my stretches and we all had to wear socks or some footwear. The coffee table/game table in the Great Room seemed like a good idea. Our teens used this table a lot. But the wheels broke on two of the stools on our first day. The beds were very comfortable. The bedrooms were spacious. One of the smoke detectors went “off”. Maintenance's immediate response was amazing. It was fixed within minutes. Insects were an issue in the kitchen and bathrooms. Not a big problem for us since we get this at home with the change in weather. Our extra equipment did not arrive. There was a problem adding to the list after we submitted the initial equipment. Because of the weather this was not an issue. We needed a community map that showed beach access, parking for beach and walking trails. It was hit of miss for all of us. And we should have been told about no electric vehicles, such as a scooter in advance. This house seemed to be in transition. I get this, but at the price we paid, I expected more in ambience and cleanliness.

Best time ever!

House was a great fit for our family! We happened to have great weather the two weeks we were visiting. Debordieu has changed a lot in the 20+ years we've been visiting, for better or worse, but overall still a favorite place to visit.

Beach Retreat was clean and plenty of room for the 9nof us. It's close proximity to the beach was a short car ide. The only negative was the porch chairs and back porch. table were not clean.

Beach Haven

Our family loved our time at the beach in this lovely house. It was listed to accommodate 12 with a sleeper sofa, which was not in the house. Thankfully we had air mattresses! Other than that, the house was perfect for our family. The screened porch & front porch were perfect spots for sweet family time.

Lovely Beach Home in Exclusive Debordieu

I have stayed here with my family for a summer week as well several girls weekends inn all seassons. It is a beautifully maintained and decorated home. It covers of your needs plus it has many high end extras. Debordieu is a beautiful gated community with a lovely beach, pools, bar and restaurant area, clubhouse, golf and tennis. Close to Pawley's Island and Georgetown which have great shopping and restaurants. Brookgreen Gardens is also nearby.

The Best of Debordieu

I have had the good fortune to stay at this house on more than one occasion. It is lovely, spacious and equipped with everything you would need for a fantastic beach vacation, whether a get-away for two, a girls weekend or the annual family beach trip. The rooms are cheerfully decorated and the open floor plan is perfect for maximum comfort. The Debordieu community has beautiful beach access, pools, great golf and a fantastic tennis program. It is also within an easy driving distance to great restaurants in Pawleys Island and Georgetown.
