“We had a good stay at this location and we went around the area and went to places. Restaurants and bars and a McDonald's is in walking distance. Pool is a salt water pool and clean. Breakfast was good for being free with the usual stuff like scrambled eggs and sausage or bacon, oatmeal, fruit, cereals etc. Would stay here again no problems at all.”
“This is a beautiful hotel. Very clean and spacious room. Our room faced Main Street—traffic noise. One suggestion is more outlets for electronics. One outlet didn’t work at all. We had to charge 2 phones, watch, hearing aid, CPAP machine, iPad. If we come again, I’ll bring a power strip. ”

“The house is beautiful and well maintained. It is a fun opportunity to imagine life in one of these beautiful old homes from the 19th century. A wonderful breakfast was served Saturday and Sunday. Simon was great. Friendly and full of tips and ideas to help make the most of our time in Dubuque. We stayed in Florence’s room, which had great views of the city, and the bed in the turret with curved windows all around. We would highly recommend staying here.

“Our weekend stay at The Redstone was wonderful! The spacious room was perfect for two. It was great having the bathroom included with the room. We appreciated the large refrigerator and the snacks left for us to enjoy. The breakfasts, consisting of a hot dish and an amazing assortment of pastries, fruits, cereal and nuts were wonderful. Robert,the owner, was delightful and we loved hearing his stories of the mansion's history. We highly recommend The Redstone and can't wait to stay there again!”

“Very nice property. We could tell a few parts were dated, but they've kept it very clean and nice. Loved the common area with the pool. Very clean, smelled nice. Breakfast was excellent!! Front desk gentleman was great-he remembered our names at checkout and gave us a wonderful history of Dubuque. Old Chicago is attached and open late!! Very nice, we would stay again.”
