The district town of Argos has been continuously inhabited for over 5000 years. Our flat is located in a small fertile plain (orange trees everywhere), in the immediate neighbourhood of the ancient village of Asini. The plain is lined with several beaches, the nearest only 700 metres away. It is easy to get there, even with small children. The beach can also be reached by bike, even in hot weather, as there is practically no incline to overcome. The flat is approx. 1.5 metres above sea level. It is located on the ground floor of a small residential unit and has two entrances. One of them, from the terrace, is at ground level, the second is accessible via four steps from the staircase. The other six flats in the building are - with two exceptions - only sporadically occupied by their owners. We are occasionally to be found in the immediate neighbourhood and are happy to help and advise you. If you have any questions or problems, a multilingual contact person is also available.
The flat has a total area of 55m² and consists of the following rooms: living room, open-plan kitchen, hallway, bedroom, bathroom/WC. With a ceiling height of 2.70 metres, the room climate is pleasant in every season. The kitchen is equipped with a hob, oven, extractor bonnet, fridge and dishwasher. A kettle and espresso pot are available for preparing hot drinks. In the living room there is a dining table, a sofa bed and a shoe rack by the door. Shelves on the walls provide plenty of storage space for your personal belongings. With a width of 160 cm, the pull-out sofa bed offers two sleeping places and further furniture - a double bed (180 cm wide) and cupboards for your clothes and linen can be found in the bedroom next door. In addition to the sanitary facilities, the bathroom/WC is equipped with a washing machine. The clothes horse can be set up on the flat terrace or in the front garden. Especially in summer, drying will not be long in coming. A WLAN router provides an Internet connection in the flat and on the first terrace. In the cold season, our infrared heaters provide cosy warmth - just like a wood-burning stove!
The covered, shaded terrace (approx. 12m²) directly in front of the living room door is the ideal place for meals. It is furnished with a dining table, benches and chairs and offers a cosy view of the greenery. It is partially fenced to protect it from overgrown plants and can be closed off with a gate. This also makes it suitable for small children. The neighbouring front garden leads you a few steps to another garden (300m²), which we call the "plantation". Here you come to another outdoor terrace. White chairs at the dining table do not get hot even in summer and invite you to linger. A footpath leads on to a paved car park. There is a sliding gate at the rear which, together with the surrounding garden fence, provides good protection against small children running off. The driveway to the house is practically only used by residents and is therefore not very busy. The green area consists of various grasses and flowers depending on the season, until it dries to a "yellow area" in the summer heat. The "plantation" is a natural garden - the plant area is neither mowed nor watered. Of course, it can be walked on everywhere. You can pick ripe oranges here, especially in winter - but some remain hanging on the branches until summer. Other trees bear lemons and olives. The fig tree at the garden gate is ready for harvest in August, followed by the peach tree in front of the flat entrance in September. The car park is large enough for two cars, and two-wheelers can also be parked here. Otherwise, we only use one car park - when we are on site.

Drepano, the village right next door, is authentic Greek, manageable, everything for daily needs can be found there.Tolo, the village behind Cape Kastraki, about 2 km away, is very touristy and crowded in summer, there is something going on here.Nafplio is the nearest small town. It was the capital of Greece from 1829 to 1834. Very popular and also quite beautiful, there are important ancient sites within a radius of 30 km - Tiryns, Mycenae, the castles are a good 3500 years old. Nemea, Epidauros, Argos, Lerna, Midea etc. Classical Greek theatre plays are performed in the ancient Amphitheatre of Epidauros from June to August. A visit here is unforgettable!
