The Folger House sulla storica Academy Hill, Nantucket

Situata in città tra la Jared Coffin House e la First Congregational Church sulla storica Academy Lane, questa meravigliosa casa nel centro storico di Nantucket è in affitto per la prima volta quest'estate.

Il terreno fu originariamente acquistato dalla famiglia Folger nel 1799 quando fu costruita la casa originale. La casa attuale comprende un cortile paesaggistico, un parcheggio fuori strada per una macchina, sei camere da letto con tre bagni completi e due bagni di servizio.

Primo piano: sala coloniale classica casa coloniale. Soggiorno, ampia sala da pranzo, cucina, lavanderia. Camera da letto con due letti singoli con bagno privato completo con vasca / doccia classica con piedini. Secondo bagno completo con doccia. Cucina e sala da pranzo aperte sul portico posteriore e cortile.

Secondo piano: suite matrimoniale con un letto king size e mezzo bagno annesso, camera matrimoniale con un letto king size, camera con due letti singoli, una camera con un letto singolo. Bagno completo con doccia / vasca. La vasca da bagno è una classica vasca a piedini.

Terzo piano: ampia camera aperta con un letto matrimoniale e un letto singolo e un bagno di servizio.

Wonderful vacation

Very quaint house. Excellent location. We are allowed a late checkout time. It was a hug favor since we have young children and elderly. Will definitely stay there again.

Absolutely Wonderful

This house is magical. We had such a lovely stay at this historic property for a girls’ weekend on Nantucket. The location in town with close proximity to the beach and ferry is so convenient. Can’t wait to come bACK!

Everything was fantastic. You can't beat the location of the property! Only thing could be improved is the third floor bed sits on wood slats and is really uncomfortable. Thank you for letting us rent your home.

Great stay

Staying in this historic house in the historic district of Nantucket was just what we wanted. It was in walking distance to almost everything we wanted to see. We had no need for a car because there are taxis and large vans to take us the few places that were not in walking distance.

The best location!

We couldn’t have asked for a better located house for our MDW trip to Nantucket. Very walkable to central locations and it was so spacious with enough sleeping space and bathrooms for all of us. Communication was great and there wasn’t a single hitch all weekend. We already can’t wait to come back!

Lovely vacation on the island

This is a wonderful home for an active family. We could walk to boat trips, a grocery store, and museums, bike, drive, or take the bus to several beaches, and come home to eat around the big table. This is highly recommended for folks who enjoy the historical ambiance of the island.

Incredible Location and Property!

Our group had an incredible time during our stay. The hosts were very informative and the check in/check out process was seamless. The house is in a perfect location close to town, but very quiet as well. The set up of the house worked great with many different bedrooms and bathrooms split up across the group. Thanks again to Michael and Harry - we will definitely be back!

Party like it’s 1799!

This house is perfectly rustic, in a quiet spot just a block or two from the heart of town. Kitchen has been updated but mostly everything else is old and quaint, as it should be. Only one of the main bedrooms is “en suite” with an attached bath but the rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. It’s all we needed!

The house is beautiful because it hasn't been gutted and turned into a modern mess: it's an old Nantucket house with tons of charm. The owner was really helpful and so was his caretaker. The cleaning woman was very nice.

Had a wonderful stay.

The location couldn’t be better. The place had a rustic charm that was comfortable, not fancy. The kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty of room for 10 people to sit at the dining table and to also spread out throughout the house when we needed space. There were a few things we’d recommend to improve: one of the king beds had a terrible mattress that sagged in the middle, one of the twin beds collapsed, and the dryer was broken for most of our stay. But overall we were very happy with the property and with Harry as host. He did his best to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He even let us check in a day early because of the hurricane barreling up the coast! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Girls Trip

We stayed for a long weekend girls trip The location is perfect- could not be more convenient to walk everywhere! Great for those in our group whose first time it was to Nantucket. There were many bathrooms and bedrooms so it was ideal for a large group The backyard was a great place to hang out The cleaners were not done for about 1.5 hr after check in which wasn’t ideal for being able to settle in but the house was very clean once they finished

Son's wedding in Nantucket

The property is nice. Would have liked it better if bathrooms were updated. Claw tub showers did not work for us and the walk in shower was very, very small. Plenty of rooms for sleeping and very nice backyard. Location is very close to town which is nice.
