“From the moment we arrived the staff greeted us with warm smiles and salutations, and throughout our stay it remained the same. Alan and his wife (the chef), Ariel, Alan’s brother and Andre and Patricia ( another chef) provided us with a rich history of the area and delicious meals. We slept like babies each night in the spacious lodging provided for us. The mountaintop views are breathtaking and taking a dip in the private waterfall was so refreshing! We totally enjoyed our stay!”

“Hummingbirds, right at my doorstep! Hummingbird garden Appreciative I had been upgraded by Alamo with a 4 x 4, taking me to the top of the mountain. I am in decent shape. I preferred walking the paths at the top of the mountain having ridden to those trail heads. This includes parking at the top and walking down to the overlook platform beautiful fuse So much cooler 10 to 15° perfect hiking weather never above 70°F and contrast with my days by the coast not humid not hot Bug spray would’ve...

“The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but...

“The staff were so helpful friendly and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Room was clean comfortable bed and air conditioning. Breakfast was perfectly cooked daily 😊Swimming pool was a blessing and only two mins walk to beach highly recommend this as a place to stay very reasonable prices too. We initially stayed in a cabina without air conditioning, but after the first night we upgraded to a room with A/C, which made our stay even more comfortable. “Our villa was a pleasant surprise, poised up on a knoll at the beginning of the Ficus Trail with a lovely garden. Meals were beyond words, creative, beautifully plated and insanely good.”

“This is a cute little property off the beaten path. Lots of tico places to eat in the area but you need a car. We don’t recommend the seafood place across the highway though. Breakfast was amazing, especially the homemade bread and condiments. The laminated note in the room about not getting sand in the beach towels was a little odd!”
