“This is a beautiful, well-maintained property - flowering bushes, palm trees, crotons, ground covers - all tidily kept and in bloom. Very nice. Pretty pool/hot tub area, with poolside delivery of happy hour cocktails and munchies; complimentary breakfast (both continental and hot). People in the pool were friendly and chatted with us, even offered to share their beverages (most had their own coolers). Staff was friendly and helpful. “The overall stay was pretty good. Nice beds, pretty good ac, nice staff, quick an easy check in and check out. Although because the staff mentioned the hotel was newly built it was missing some quality of life features. Such as streaming services on the TV, no Netflix or Hulu unless you connected your phone via screen share. But besides that! Everything is near by from gas to food. You wont be driving much when staying at the candlewood. Official rating 5/5 stars would recommended.”

“Very clean hotel, room for 2 was just the right size, and a great value for the price. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We used the swimming pool which we felt could have been a bit cleaner as the water was not crystal clear like it usually is at hotels/pools. The hotel also has a patio /smoking area with seating and comfy chairs adjacent to the bar. Great service at the bar. “My 2 employees bitched at me for booking them here. They said it stunk, AC was weak, and the place was dirty. NO breakfast or coffee, which everybody likes... So... There ya have it.”

“Me he hospedado en este hotel las últimas tres veces que he viajado a McAllen, pero esta ocasión la experiencia fue terrible en la habitación. El aire acondicionado funciona un poco extraño, el aire frío no deja de salir y para compensar cada 5 mins sin exagerar prende otro equipo que empieza a meter aire caliente. El problema es que ese equipo de aire caliente hace mucho ruido y no pudimos descansar porque constantemente prendía y apagaba, así estuvimos toda la noche. También lo vimos un poco...
