“The room was neat and tidy yet very little space for a double room, more like a single room. Some staff were more conscientious than others at breakfast time. The menu was more akin to a good pub rather than a nice hotel. The setting was superb but the property was undergoing refurbishment which spoilt it a bit.”

“Front Reception was excellent! From that point on everything went down hill. A very run down room with a dirty window looking over the car park. Threadbare carpet and frayed edges of the mattress hanging down. Dated decor and a less than pristine bathroom with a disgusting non slip mat! Really! Loud music played in the breakfast room. “I'm the same person who rated 5,0 below, few months ago. I was so entusiasthic right then that I decided to stay again in this hotel despite I was going to drive 45 minutes the day after. I was wrong, this time I had a complete different experience. The bathroom this time was molding and old, i got 3 towels 1 large and 2 small, the large one I had to use in the pool because they had none to give me and one of the two small was dirty. Not cool. “Location excellent, staff well trained and excellent. Room was very good. Outside area had great views but some stained seat covers and lots of cracked tiles. Spa was a waste of time as very busy and ended up just sitting in pool as all the jacuzzi areas full. Spa had lots of loose tiles around pool too. Breakfast was excellent. Cheeky £12 per day add on for parking your car in already overpriced hotel. Not quite 5 star but I think this is a self awarded rating and not AA affiliated.”
