“The location is the big selling point; views over the lake are exceptional. The menu has a good choice, but doesn't vary from day-to-day. That could become an issue for a longer stay, but if it looks good on the menu, it will be good when it's served. The location sold it, but the staff made the trip exceptional. “Pretty remote so if you’re out driving, make sure you become familiar with the (fairly convenient) bus schedule, although it’s a half mile from the bus stop, or be prepared to pay a healthy taxi/Uber fare from Keswick. The grounds are lovely and rooms/common areas well-maintained. Breakfast doesn’t start until 0745, very inconvenient for an early start. Staff could be a little more helpful in pointing out bus schedule, local attractions, arranging cabs, etc. a nice experience overall.”
