Travelers' Rest--Your Wintergreen Retreat in the Center of it All!

  • Wintergreen Resort, high in Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, features a multitude of outdoor activities, or you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery. This all-season condo brings you the best of nature, relaxation, and fun. Located in the heart of the Wintergreen Resort near the Mountain Inn, it is within walking distance of the ski area, restaurants, shopping, the Wintergreen Market, and a coffee bar. The Plunge tubing area and the kids’ indoor/outdoor activity center, Discovery Ridge, are both nearby. We invite you to come hike, ski, snowboard, snow tube, swim in our condo community’s private pool (seasonal), golf, or play pickleball or tennis in the surrounding areas.

    Situated near the Blue Ridge Parkway and Shenandoah National Park, this area of Virginia is known for beautiful vistas, wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries. History buffs can visit nearby Monticello, Charlottesville, Blue Ridge Tunnel, Poplar Forest, or Lexington.

    Our loft-style home sleeps up to five, with one queen bed and full bath upstairs, while downstairs there is another bedroom with two twin beds. There is also a pull-out bed in the living room, with an adjacent full bath. The condo features keyless entry and an outdoor ski closet, while an assortment of books, puzzles, and games are provided for all ages. Ample parking, pool, in-unit washer/dryer, Wi-Fi, two TVs (with YouTube TV), wood-burning fireplace (free firewood is provided), an outside deck, and all towels/linens are provided. Enjoy our fully-stocked kitchen, with Keurig coffee maker and complimentary pods, basic condiments, and a dishwasher.

    We invite you to come hike, ski, snowboard, snow tube, swim in our condo community’s private pool (seasonal), or play golf, pickleball, or tennis in the surrounding areas

    This is truly a Travelers’ Rest–a cozy mountain place to recharge and relax. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!.

Fantastic location really close to the lodge and the market, very clean, plenty of cooking utensils and had everything we needed. Came here to go skiing with my son and we had a blast. 10/10 recommend.

This is the 3rd year we've stayed here while our little boy learns to ski. Its great, has a TV and a nice fireplace and kitchen utensils. Its close to the lodge and the little market. Very nice.

Great Place!

We loved this condo. It was in the perfect location for our stay at Wintergreen. We could walk to the resort. Very well stocked with everything you need! We will book this place again!

Weekend Getaway

Our weekend was easily a 9;8 (a number we saw posted in the info you provided)...and we look forward to returning to this exact location...We loved the quality, uniqueness, and location of Traveler's Rest.....The weekend was as near perfect as it gets with the Condo, the food at The Echo, and the weather...The food and service at The Echo was excellent and deserves a higher rating than we saw...Denise and I had a really special experience, one that we won't forget....

Very well maintained property, and all the amenities we needed! The downstairs bedroom was perfect for our teenagers. The loft bedroom has access to all the beautiful skylights to view the scenery, though you will get the early morning light from these. If you want to have a fire in the fireplace, they supply you with plenty of firewood for you to use during your stay. Location is perfect! You can walk to the slopes from here, but I would definitely stash my street shoes in a locker for the walk. The Market is right at the end of the street, it has gas station, deli, and snacks.

Perfect location and comfort

This is an excellent condo to book for your stay at Wintergreen. We usually come here once or twice a year for a quick weekend getaway and were surprised to find it was Octoberfest. The precheck in process was the best I've ever had with VRBO and the condo was super clean and comfy.

Clean and cozy

The rooms were very clean, and it was very easy to find where things and light switches were because they were all labeled. There are stores and a gas station nearby, so it was very convenient.

Autumn Splendor

Unit is in an ideal location for walking to market, restaurants, shops, and slopes. The unit provided all necessities and provided fire wood was a plus. There is ample hiking around the resort offering wonderful vistas of the mountains and valley. Great breweries and cideries within a 20 minute drive.

Wintergreen chalet

Much smaller than the photos indicated. Decent location, though we still had to drive to and park at the skiing facility. We might choose this place again in the future, but will definitely look at other choices.

Great for a family of 4!

Honestly, the main reason I picked this property was due to the twin beds so my daughters (ages 7&10) wouldn’t have to share a bed. It was so perfect for our family. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well appointed and everything was clean.The location made walking everywhere very easy. We were able to pop over to the market for goodies. We were also able to walk to the resort and back for any breaks during the day. I would absolutely stay here again and hope to make this an annual trip!

Excellent stay!

The condo was great to stay at. We walked to the slopes each day. The nearby conscience store came in clutch! The kitchen was older but still very functional. We would absolutely stay here again. Communication with the property owner was very timely and the info app was a nice touch.

Immaculate and Cozy!

Travelers’ Rest turned out to be just that, and more. The hosts thought of everything, and from check-in to out, everything was smooth sailing. Not too many steps to the front door (which is saying a lot a LOT at Wintergreen). A quick walk to the Market (great sandwiches, BTW) and the Resort/slopes/restaurants. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Beautiful setting in a convenient location

The condo was so well-kept, clean, and well-equipped. The best feature of this place was its setting among the trees. Being an end unit at the end of the street, sitting on the back deck, it feels like you're all alone on the mountaintop. Very serene setting! We also thought the location - just a 2-minute walk to the convenience store for breakfast or snacks - cannot be understated. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay!

Perfect family ski condo

This condo was just right for our family of 4! The entire condo was clean and comfortable. The kids loved having their own beds in a separate bedroom. The kitchen had all the equipment needed to cook basic meals. The location made it extremely easy to get to and from the ski hill with all of our equipment. The owner was quick to respond to communication and was very understanding when we made a booking error. We would highly recommend this condo!
