We received a lovely welcome to the property and were shown all the little bits and pieces that made the room special and that were thoughtful additions to the general experience. The hosts are lovely and friendly, and the breakfasts are out of this world! Each day a new menu which included a lovely variation of omelets but included home made muesli, a variety of cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, orange juice - the works. I absolutely loved my stay here and will sure sure return. Did I mention how lovely the hosts were?

We had a wonderful time staying at Shelbourne Villa. Val and Wayne were excellent hosts. Our large room was beautiful 10/10, the bed was comfortable, and although we were staying in a house we had total privacy. It was my first experience of a B&B and I would totally recommend this accommodation. Val and Wayne thank you so much.

A gorgeously serene accomodation
This is a beautiful B&B, and the best accommodation we stayed at during our trip in New Zealand. We stayed in the master suite which was absolutely spotless, aesthetically gorgeous, and complete with a spa tub. The hosts are delightful, the breakfast delicious. Everywhere you look in this lovely place you see art. It is an easy walk to downtown Nelson, and a peaceful, restful location. Just fabulous!

We enjoyed our stay here and wish we would have had more than one night. The room was spacious, cozy and quite comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the owners were very kind and accommodating. The location is perfect walking distance to the town and restaurants.

Just a couple of small things. They advertise robes and hair rings and there were neither in the room. There was no way of controlling the temperature from in our room. Otherwise it was a lovely handy place to stay. The breakfast was very good

Hi & thanks for your comments. Apologies that we didn't get bathrobes into the room - had a someone not follow instructions & tie up our laundry for an excessive amount of time, causing delays. The property was well situated, within walking distance of the the main areas in town. The loft room we had was excellent with a terrace offering roof top views of town. The hosts were lovely yet not imposing.

Excellent. Central location. Wonderful hosts.
This villa is a gem. It is located very close to the Cathedral Steps but the actual street is very quiet and the location is discreet. It was perfect as I was attending a course at the music school. The accommodation is lovely. Very clean, well presented and yet homely and very stylish. I loved the beautiful carpets; lovely patchwork quilt; own access to the unit; full bathroom etc Everything was presented beautifully. It proved to be a lovely place to live for 4 days. The breakfasts were very well presented and delicious. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend this as an excellent option. Even the shortbread biscuits were special.

Absolutely Outstanding
You can’t get any better than this!! The host of Shelbourne Villa, Wayne and Val are the most accommodating, friendly and helpful hosts. The Loft Room is HUGE and beautifully appointed, with many extras provided (including yummy ones). You have access to another private large, with a special late night beverage provided. The breakfast was like eating at a 5 Star restaurant, including the most gorgeous table setting. The views from the room and dining room are breathtaking. It is a 5 minute walk to the top of Trafalgar Street, where the best restaurants are situated. Don’t look past this accommodation if you are staying in Nelson, it is a must!!!

우선 저희를 너무 반갑게 맞이해 주셔서 너무 기분이 좋았습니다. 설명도 너무 친절하셨어요~ 위치는 중심가에서 걸어서 5분~8분 정도 거리에 있어서 조용하고 편한하게 쉴수 있었네요. 조식은 정말 정성스럽고 맛있게 요리해 주셨어요. 저랑 아내가 너무 만족스러워 했습니다^^ 2박 하면서 정말 만족스러웠습니다. 다음에도 넬슨에 가게된다면 꼭 다시 올겁니다.

Wonderful B&B!
Loved our stay here. Hosts were friendly, B&B was homey and beautifully decorated and 2 blocks from town. Breakfast included toast, coffee, fresh squeezed juice, lots of fruit and a cooked item (we had scrambled eggs with salmon... yum!

Loved The Shelbourne Villa!
We absolutely loved our stay at the Shelbourne. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Our room on the top floor was incredibly spacious and beautifully furnished - we especially loved the patio with a view of the water. The neighborhood is so quiet but a 2 minute walk from lots of shops and restaurants. Breakfast was delicious too. We would definitely highly recommend this property.

Der Name hält, was er verspricht. Eine sehr schöne Villa, liebevoll eingerichtet, in sehr schöner Lage. Tolle Zimmer und ein sehr gutes Frühstück. Wir haben direkt noch einmal gebucht.
