The Space:
Welcome to Waterwheel condominiums, the perfect spot for you and your guests to relax and float the day away and spend your nights exploring all that New Braunfels has to offer. It is walking distance to downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn and only 3 miles to historic Gruene. The private balcony, which is perfect for sipping your morning coffee from the Keurig coffee maker or a glass of wine at night, has a table with seating. This balcony opens up into the cozy living room with a sofa sleeper, Cable TV, and free WIFI. The kitchen comes stocked with cookware, dishes, and utensils. Dining table seats 4 and there are 4 barstools at the breakfast bar. Stackable washer and dryer for your convenience. The master bedroom has a king bed, Smart TV and a private full bathroom with shower/tub combo. The guest bedroom has a queen bed, and the guest bathroom with a walk in shower is located conveniently just outside in the hall. The third bedroom has a Queen bed. All bathrooms come with hotel size amenities, bath towels, and two rolls of toilet paper. High quality linens are provided for all beds and bathrooms.
It is an easy walk down to the river! Rockin' R River Rides is less than one miles away. The complex has 2 pools, 4 hot tubs, communal charcoal grills and an amazing amount of beautiful green grass and beautiful trees. It's a perfect place for a picnic!
Only 2 vehicles allowed. This condo is on the 3rd floor and does have an elevator. Host must be 25 years of age or older to make a reservation and must be staying at the property. 2 dogs allowed at an additional rate of $25 per day per dog. You will receive 2 parking passes and 8 wristbands (max amount allowed). This condo has a maximum occupancy of 8 guests. This maximum occupancy is not to be exceeded at any time. No daytime guests allowed. To comply with city and county short-term rental permit restrictions, the outdoor areas of this home are monitored by video camera. This property includes accidental damage protection up to $1500.
**WRISTBANDS & PARKING PASSES REQUIRED*** These condos are individually owned and the owners graciously allow their "second homes" to be rented out and enjoyed! The HOA of the complex had laid out some policies to ensure everyone staying at the complex can have a wonderful time. Because of the fabulous location, we can have trouble with trespassers. The security guards on premise are there to ensure only renters are using the grounds and that guests are parking in the correct parking spaces. Please do not be offended by the wristband and parking pass policies, they are really there to ensure that you have a fabulous time!

Great location, well kept condo
It was a really comfortable, clean and well-kept condo. Really enjoyed the on-site river access and convenience to Schliterbahn.

The location and amenities were very nice. The condo was clean and cute! I would recommend providing soft toilet paper since you only get 2 rolls per bathroom. The other guests were nice and courteous. We really enjoyed sitting on the patio.

The waterwheel condominiums are some of the best kept stays in the area. Super close to the public entrance for the Guadeloupe. The pools, and private river access are the main reasons I booked but everything about this stay was fabulous. The Texas themed condo we rented was perfect for a 34th birthday bash haha.

We absolutely loved this home ! It was perfectly located to get to all the attractions, or if you just wanted to chill down in the river you had access as well ! We loved being able to sit on the balcony with coffee in the mornings , there is a tree directly outside the impairs your view of the grounds , but that wasn’t something important to us . The home was very clean , had everything you would need in a home to cook with . We would definitely stay here again !

This is a really nice rental. The furniture is comfortable, and I think all the appliances were in working order, we really only used the fridge. Every bedroom has a tv in case you want to chill. This unit is on the third floor, very end of the building, so it's a nice, quiet spot. The elevator is located on the other end of the building, but it's not far at all. Your designated parking spot is under the stairs, away from the elevator as well. The location here is nice as far as traffic goes. Just a really good location. It's over on Mather Street, near Cypress Park. You can travel into downtown or hit 306 to the lake without the major busy intersections...if you're from NB, you know what I mean.The river: it's a great spot in some shallow rapids. Great for sitting and relaxing. Really rocky. The short float that is suggested (they said 20 minutes), the timing depends on the river flow. It was only 71 while we were there and it took FOREVER to get back to our spot, and it's a short distance. LOL, we made it fun anyway. You have to bring your own tubes, they aren't provided by the owner. We enjoyed it, thanks!

The door code provided did not work upon arrival. I called the number for property management and was told the maintenance guy would be there in 10-15 minutes. We had already unloaded our car and carried our luggage up to the third floor, so my husband stayed with our stuff while my daughter and I waited in the car. Upon arrival, the maintenance guy was able to access the property, but only by pushing down on the door handle with his entire body weight while simultaneously ramming the door with his shoulder. I tried to call management back and explain that I am a 5’ woman and cannot use my body as a battering ram all weekend to get in and out of the condo. My kids couldn’t work the door at all. I called 3 times and kept getting hung up on. It was almost 7 PM by this time and I had to find somewhere for my family to stay. I booked a hotel room and we left, and I requested a refund due to the property being inaccessible. The property manager initially declined to refund the rental fee and said they could have put us in a different unit in the same complex. I had no way of knowing that because nobody would answer the phone. I had to dispute the charge with AmEx to get the credit issued.
