“Great for a short ski trip.”

“The house and location gorgeous. Wildlife and stars galore. Loons are amazing. I wish it would have come with a canoe. If you like birds and nature, you should be here. My young granddaughters absolutely loved the long deck and screened in porch. And the grassy areas. And the walk by the lake.”

“Overall this was a very nice place. I would not call it a 3 bedroom though. It is a 2 bedroom with lofts. One of the 2 lofts is large like a bedroom, but the ladders to the lofts are straight up and difficult to climb. As long as you know before booking, you can decide if this will be a problem for your family.”

“The view was amazing. The cabin tho was nothing like expected. It's currently being renovated, but the walls are nothing but installation, the flooring isn't finished at all. There is electricity and tv, but no water and the bathroom is not finished but there is a port a potty outside that is completely disgusting. Overall the view is great but the place definitely needs a lot. ”

“This Caribou Island cabin was perfect for an end of summer getaway for my kids (13 and 11) and me. The highlight for us was the location--nestled in the trees right on the lake, but completely private. I can't say enough about how beautiful the property is. The bedrock protrudes through a thin cover of soil and is covered with a variety of lichen and moss that is absolutely gorgeous. “We anticipated a rustic old cabin, but we did not anticipate health and safety issues or inaccurate amenities in the listing. There were no working smoke detectors, even with a wood burning stove in the cabin. There were no CO2 detectors and the furnace filter was neglected and dirty. An outlet exposed without a cover and there was some type of leak in the bathroom that caused the floor to be moist/wet. The listing stated they have WiFi, but the DSL was not operational. “Was beautiful and quiet. Perfect for a gathering. BUT hot tub overheated once and was 111 (WAY too hot to get into), and it kept tripping the breaker so had to keep resetting it. Also departing conditions says to put trash in dumpster. Couldn’t find a dumpster anywhere on the property or road, ended up having to bring it home in a car. But over all was a great place to stay. May go back again with family. Was beautiful and just want 6 mommas needed for a Mother’s Day weekend get away. ”

“Found the cabin on the second try, it’s hidden in plain sight, right off the road. Hosts provided welcoming touches like a personal sign and flowers. It’s a basic setup much like camping and we brought some basic kitchen stuff and lighting devices, which helped. The stream was full and flowing fast and loud, but subsided over time.
