The location is excellent, the kitchen is well equipped for light meal prep, and the host was very responsive to our questions. The stylist blue couch and single chair (in main VRBO photo) are no longer there and replaced with much older and tired furnishings. Beds in bedrooms #2 and #3 were extremely firm and not comfortable; suggest upgrading those mattresses.

The postives: The location cannot be beat. Very easy to get to, door locks are super convenient, and 3 bedrooms in this area was amazing. My boys were glad to not have to share a bed and room! The host is WONDERFUL to deal with, and we didn't have to do a bunch of clean up/trash removal/sheet removal as we've had to do in other VRBOs, we just had to tidy up. This definitely reduced day of departure stress for us! Plenty of towels, extra blankets, extra toilet paper were all available. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and clean too. Things that can be controlled that may need some attention:The decor and couch is certainly different than indicated in the photos, not as charming as pictured. There is not a door on the 3rd bedroom which was just off of the kitchen. We found a curtain and hung it up for some privacy for our son, but it should have something there for any future guests. The uncontrollables: As it's an old building in NYC, the heating is uneven and floors are creaky but that did not take away from our positive experience at all. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with a narrow uneven stairway up to it. It was difficult to get our suitcases up and down the stairs so be mindful when packing your bags.Overall, we had a great time here and were happy to call it home for our stay in NYC. Thanks to the host!

The apartment was in decent condition as far as decor and cleanliness. The shower pan was stained and there is some mold in the bathroom. The online pictures are old and the dining area has worn down furniture. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was nice. The building itself is aged and the hallway stairs are not structurally sound and very narrow for lots of luggage. This would be an ideal location for younger adults who need a place to stay, but if traveling with senior citizens, just be aware it’s on the 3rd floor, and I wasn’t aware of this until the same day when I received the door code (that didn’t work the first time). All in all, the listing just isn’t clear enough and for the price I paid to have a place for the whole family to stay together, it wasn’t ideal.

It’s in a good spot. Right in the middle of the city. Easy uber drives everywhere. Important to mention no elevator and 3 flights of stairs. Easy checkin. There was a lot of space - three bedrooms in manhattan with kitchen and living space is hard to find. Don’t expect luxury by any means but it’s efficient and functioning and close to everything.

Great location, not what is listed but was for good reason and in a better location. Theres was just a little mold in the corner of the bathroom. Other than that prime location, iconic building. Great gear communication from the owner. I highly recommend
