La casa perfetta per una vacanza con la famiglia!
Abbiamo soggiornato in questa meravigliosa casa la prima settimana di agosto. La casa è immersa nella natura, si trova in una zona tranquilla e isolata, il paese più vicino si raggiunge in meno di 10'. Si affaccia su un piccolo lago e ha un bellissimo e ampio giardino. Da qui è semplice raggiungere i luoghi più caratteristici della zona. Noi abbiamo visitato: Cliffs of Moher, Craggaunowen, Bunratty Castle, Quin, Ennis, Limerick. Molto bella anche la costa: abbiamo visitato la spiaggia di Kelkee e il faro di Loop Head. La casa è molto grande, spaziosa, accogliente, ottimamente attrezzata e pulita: non manca proprio nulla ed è perfetta se si soggiorna con la famiglia e con i bambini! A Newmarket-on-Fergus (meno di 10' di auto) potrete trovare un comodo supermercato. Gillian, la proprietaria, è disponibilissima a fornire suggerimenti e informazioni (nella casa troverete una ricca raccolta di depliants con tutte le attrazioni della zona!) sia prima che durante il viaggio. Grazie Gillian per la bellissima esperienza: noi e i nostri 5 figli speriamo di poterci ritornare per godere ancora della tranquillità e dello splendido panorama.

Haus am See für erholsame Tage
Großzügiges Haus im Grünen mit großem Erholungsfaktor. Das Haus ist ideal, wenn man Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht und seine Unternehmungen eher auf den mittleren Westen Irlands beschränkt. Wer alle Highlights der Westküste sehen will, muß viel Zeit für lange Autofahrten einkalkulieren.

Newmarket-on-Fergus Ireland
We were two families, 4 adults and 5 children ages 14-6, traveling together to visit Ireland and to see friends and family living in the Ennis and Limerick area. This was a great location as our base. We were able to enjoy cooking breakfasts each morning then spending days exploring wonderful areas, before returning to relax in the evenings. The house was spacious, comfortable, clean, and worked very well for us. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Amazing house with a big garden
We stayed as a family with 3 kids for 5 days by gillians house and we had the perfect holidays. The house was clean,big enough with everything you need , and i mean everything. In the Garage was dart game, fishing rods, grill , wood ,all in all super happy wirh the house and the location.

Family Time
Our vacation consisted of 2 families, 5 adults and 4 children. The home was very comfortable for all of us. And had all the comforts of home. We loved how central the home was to all the cities we visited, Galway, Cork, Dingle Peninsula, Roscommon, Cliffs of Moher, Doolin and Aillwee Experience! Amazing home
This home was perfect for my family. The location provided easy access for all of the locations we wanted to visit. The house has everything a family could need and a great layout that not only provides areas we could gather as a family but also plenty of space for my wife and I as well as our teenage children to have their privacy. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay near Limerick and explore western and southern Ireland.

Spectacular!

Comfortable Home in the Country
We had a wonderful time staying at Gillian's property in Newmarket on Fergus. It was very quiet and comfortable for our family group of eight. The house is equipped with all the necessities and quite a few extras. Communication with Gillian was great prior to and during our stay. The house is close to Bunratty Castle and the Quin Abbey (built in early 1400's). The town of Ennis, about 20 minutes away, has shopping, great restaurants & nightlife. It is a relatively short drive to Cliffs of Moher & Doolin as well as the ferry to the Aran Islands. We would stay here again if our travels bring us back to Ireland.

Wonderful and quiet
A lovely peaceful place to stay. As said by other reviewers the photos don't do it justice and are a bit dated. It's more relaxing staying in a family home than a pristine luxury place. There was no shortage of crockery or cutlery and other items you'd expect. The only slight disappointment is that you have to drive to the nearest place to eat. But this is more thanmafe up by the location. Access to the Lough is a very short walk and the children had took great delight in pond dipping there. The garden is a delight and we all enjoyed playing hide and seek. A lovely place to stay.

Relaxing family vacation in a beautiful area
We had a fantastic holiday here. The house has lovely views of the lake and is positioned in a nice area. The house was clean and big with 4 rooms with double beds and 1 room with 2 single beds. The beds are super comfy. The kitchen has everything you need. The property is only a few minutes from Newmarket on Fergus that has a shop and a few restaurants. The larger towns (Ennis, Shannon) are only 15-20 min away.

Cozy country home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Highly recommend. The lake is beautiful and the ruins of the church down the street made for a lovely after dinner exploration with the family. It is a very picturesque and peaceful place. There are also several things to do nearby. We visited Limerick, Bunratty Castle, the Bronze Age village (craggonouen?) Quinn Abbey, Ennis and the Cliffs of Moher. The home is a bit dated, but very comfortable. Really, it only added to the ambience. A few things broke, but the host was AMAZING and so helpful and kind. We really loved staying here. It was very homey, and cozy, and we had lots of big family dinners and cozy nights in the living room with the fire. There were even a few toys lying around for my 3 yo daughter to stay entertained. And the big TV had all the channels and subscriptions you could want, and most importantly my daughters favorite show. Thanks to the host for a lovely stay. Highly recommend.

We loved the location since we rented a car and we could reach all of our desired sites to visit in < a 2 hr drive any direction for our day trips. Plenty of room and things to do to keep the kids busy. We'd recommend it greatly!

Super für Familienurlaub
Wir waren 2 Familien mit insgesamt 6 Kindern im Alter zwischen 1 und 16 Jahren und es war für alle Altersgruppen eine supertolle Unterkunft. Wir haben die Größe des Hauses und die schöne Lage am See sehr genossen, auch an zwei im Haus verbrachten Regentagen wurde es nicht zu eng. Wir können nur bestätigen, dass die Fotos den Flair des Hauses nicht wiedergeben können. Es ist sehr stimmig und geschmackvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet. Wir haben uns außerdem sehr willkommen gefühlt. So nette und interessierte Gastgeber habe ich selten erlebt. Wir können das Haus nur empfehlen!

Beautiful home, photos online don't do it justice! Excellent house for our group which consisted of grandkids and grandparents also. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay, it was an excellent base for so many places. We created some wonderful memories in this house that will be cherished and talked about for many years to come! A wonderful stay
Gillian was an excellent host. We had several questions ( also because of covid) and she responded always right away. The house is lovely and very spacious, perfect for a family. It is in a very quiet area. We could see a lake when we sat outside. Gillian gave us excellent directions and we had an easy time finding the house. There are also many brochures at the house with great information about day trips in the area. Thank you, Gillian. We had a wonderful stay.

Great clean house offering all you need to enjoy your stay!!! From towels through shower gels tea, coffee and umbrellas. Very nice peaceful neighborhood. Place is much better that photo's show and close to all Clare attractions. I highly recommend the place.

Our family loved staying at Fenloe. This property is charming, spotless clean and has everything you might need. The garden is especially great for children. The photos online don’t really do this house justice. One of the best holiday houses we have ever stayed at!

We loved this house, with all its amenities, comfort, and gorgeous surroundings. The only drawback might be that it is not in walking distance of shops and restaurants. However, its country location was really nice to come back to after a day of sight-seeing. The only regret we had was that we didn't have more days to spend here.

Großzügiges, gemütliches Ferienhaus in herrlicher Lage
Wir waren das erste Mal in Irland und haben mit der Wahl des Ferienhauses von Gillian eine sehr gute Wahl getroffen. Unser Aufenthalt war 3 Wochen lang mit insgesamt 6 Erwachsenen. Die Schlafräume sind alle gemütlich und die Betten sehr gut. Wir konnten uns im richtig gemütlichen Wohnzimmer bei Tee/ Kaffee mit einem schönen Buch oder mit Ansehen von DVDs wunderbar erholen. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet und am großen Tisch kann man nicht nur sehr gut beim Essen sitzen, sondern auch ausgiebig mit den reichlich vorhandenen Prospekten, Strassen- und Wanderkarten die Ausflüge planen und auch die Zeit mit Karten- oder Brettspielen verbringen. Leider konnten wir den wunderschönen, großen Garten wegen des regnerischen Wetters nicht wirklich nutzen, aber der tolle Blick aus den großen Fenstern hat uns getröstet. Wir haben Ausflüge in alle Richtungen gemacht, zu den Cliffs of Moher, Aran-Inseln, Galway, Connemara, Dingle-Peninsula, um nur ein paar zu nennen. Die Landschaft des Burren hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Man ist vom Haus schnell auf den Schnellstraßen und Autobahnen, auch Dublin haben wir 2 mal besucht. Wir sind mit dem Mietwagen zum Park and Ride Parkplatz Redcow gefahren und von dort mit der Tram in die Innenstadt. Newmarket on Fergus ist ein nettes kleines Städtchen mit einem Eurospar und vielen kulinarischen Möglichkeiten und einem sehr schönen Spielplatz. Ein bisschen weiter weg ist Ennis, das uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Zusammenfassend hat es uns an nichts gefehlt, Haus und Garten haben uns sehr gut gefallen und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt im Haus am Fenloe-See.

Stop looking & Book this place!
The house ... the pictures don't do it justice! We LOVED the house so much! We wanted to be away from big cities and tourists and this is it! We loved exploring Quinn, Ennis and of course Newmarket-on-Fergus! Take a walk down the street and you'll find an amazing old ruined church. The location is great, close enough to the major highways and easy to get to major sites. Cliffs of Moher, Ferry to Aran Islands. However still in a little town, that had everything we needed. Gill is a fantastic host, so easy to communicate with and quick to answer any and all questions! Loads of information for guests in the home which we found so helpful! This was our first time traveling abroad from the States, so I was a little nervous but every night coming back to this place was great getting back ' home'! Staying here made our visit to Ireland that much more special and memorable! Thank you Gill for this great place!

Lakeside retreat with the lot...
This property was breathtaking, the views incredible and the location so quite. This property had everything and then some, it felt like home. Our host had thought of everything comfort warmth, space and entertainment. Our kids had a ball running around the backyard and playing the huge variety of board games, and the large spacious kitchen with a wood burner was just what we needed to reconnect and recharge for the next adventure. The location of this place was close enough to a small village to gather supplies, not to mention close to the amazing living past of Craggaunowen and Quinn Abby tavern which has delicious family meals, so good we went there twice. This is a beautiful slice of country lakeside living, thank you for our stay.
