Steps off Thames St | Center of Town 3BR/2BA

Summary:
Unbeatable location just steps off Thames St in the center of town. This charming 3 bedroom + loft sleeps 6, has 2.5 baths and off-street parking for 3 cars. All amenities included.

The Space:
Master bedroom - 1 queen bed, 2nd bedroom - 2 twins, 3rd bedroom - 1 queen bed, bonus room is a third floor Loft - daybed with 2 twins. 2 full bathrooms on the 2nd floor (one in the master bedroom), and a 1/2 bath on the ground floor.

Living room has a sectional sofa and gas fireplace, separate dining room, and fully equipped kitchen with eat-in/breakfast area. Finished basement with additional living/rec room.

There is also a small roof deck with harbor/water views, perfect for a sunset cocktail. The backyard has a table & chair set and BBQ available for guests. Off-street parking for 3 cars.

Other amenities include washer & dryer, cable tv, and wireless internet. Linens and towels also included.

Good location. We could park the car and walk around for the most part. Safe area. The staff was responsive by text the 1st day, but never really resolved our Roku TV issue. Not responsive by Text on our checkout day or afterwards. They did reach out to me on Expedia to try to sell me additional stays though! I did notify them about these points/suggestions. No reduction or change in related fees, unfortunately. - [ ] You really should have a basic sheet when any newcomer arrives. It should contain: - [ ] Wi-Fi & password - [ ] Roku PIN code - [ ] Suggestion: include a pizza cutter with your other silverware! - [ ] Cleaning: MA Bath 2nd floor — This gross hair was in the “clean” towels when a couple of us went to use the towels. Gross! - [ ] Oven worked 1st night, but not working since then. Stovetop didnt start on Sat or Sun AM when making breakfast. - [ ] We locked the front door last nite & this morning, the top lock won’t open. Probably needs oil since it eventually opened this morning.

This was a great spot! So close to downtown. Walking distance from shops and restaurants. The property managers were very responsive and nice to work with. The property itself was great!

Yellow Door review

The house was very comfortable. Felt third bedroom should be noted as in the basement in listing. First the parking spaces were too narrow for a large SUV and required skilled parking. Fire alarm one night disrupted sleep. Handyman said it had been an issue the previous week, so they did not correct for our visit. Also day we left there was a water leak, so no one could take showers! Positive note was the location was great.= and within walking distance.

Perfect Location

We loved our three-ay-weekend at the "Yellow Door". It's perfectly situated for exploring and enjoying Newport. Our only issue was a lack of hand towels and wash cloths. Bath towels were plentiful. We requested additional, but we didn't receive them. We were a group of 7 women (college friends from the 70's).
