Fully-stocked kitchen equipped with high-end finishes, modern appliances and all the amenities for gourmet meal preparation. Spacious living room, dining room and kitchen areas are bathed in natural light and beautifully decorated to make your stay comfortable and memorable. With 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths and high cleaning standards, this home is designed to provide guests with high comfort and relaxation.

Merlins Escape also features a well-equipped media room, the perfect space to relax and enjoy your favorite movies and TV shows in style and comfort. The room boasts high-quality sound and visuals to immerse yourself fully in your chosen viewing experience. Whether you're enjoying a family movie night or hosting a viewing party with friends, the media room is the ideal place to do so.

The home gym features a Peloton bike, a weight machine, free weights, and space for yoga or cardio if exercise is a part of your retreat.

The property's exterior features beautiful landscaping and breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The infinity pool and spacious outdoor patio are perfect for enjoying the warm weather, and the hot tub and fire pit are inviting on cool evenings. The property also includes a gas grill for dining at home.

This is a quiet residential neighborhood, please be respectful of the neighbors at all times! There are cameras on the exterior of the property for security reasons. They are not monitored during guests stay unless we receive a complaint.

- Laundry Room with large and small washing machines, dryer and iron

Outside:

- Vast infinity pool and hot tub open seasonally (typically May through mid-October). Pool heater does not constantly run. Per request, pool can be heated for an additional fee. Fee is based on market rates at the time of your stay.

- Basketball goal and wooden playset

- Garage for 3 cars with an EV charging station. No cars with rooftop storage are permitted in the garage.



Pets considered. Must be approved before booking. Additional cleaning fee will be applied.



Located just a short distance from Newtown's quaint yet vibrant town center, guests can enjoy various activities and attractions. Visit local breweries and wineries and definitely visit Ferris Acres Creamery for farm-fresh ice cream just minutes away. Enjoy Connecticut landscape and do some hiking and/or biking at Holcomb Hill or Fairfield Hills. Shop and dine in Newtown or visit neighboring towns such as Bethel and Ridgefield to enjoy more of New England. We are also only 80 miles from NYC, drive or take the train.

Family weekend

We have family from multiple states meet at least yearly for a long weekend (ages 9-75). This is one of the most beautiful and well-stocked homes we have chosen. We love to cook most meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of games and things to do (playground, air hockey, cards/games, quiet space for reading, etc.). Of note, we have a special needs child who had a (not unexpected) emergency while there - the EMS response was phenomenal. Highly recommend this property. Quiet residential neighborhood and the leaves this time of year were amazing. Outstanding communication with property management company as well!
