It's one of the townhomes at The Summit at Gore Mountain, a quiet four-season community with mountain views, a private outdoor spot for grilling off the back, and a recreation center a short walk away for the days the weather turns.

Inside, Echo is set up for an easy group stay. The king bedroom gives the adults a real retreat, and the second bedroom pairs a queen with a twin-over-twin bunk, so it works just as well for a family with kids as for friends splitting the room. A sleeper sofa covers a seventh guest. The kitchen is fully equipped — full-size range, dishwasher, real cookware — which earns its keep on longer ski weeks when you'd rather make post-slope chili at home than drive out for dinner.
