“This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. “We stayed for 1 night whilst in Buxton to see a show at The Opera House. Our usual hotel was fully booked so though we’d try The Old Hall. The accommodation areas are bordering on dilapidated. Characterful no longer applies. We spoke to other guests and they found the same with one even without a working shower. Major staff shortage.
