“The room was fine; however, the property is 'sketchy'. I can only hope that properties like Shenstone can improve and offer medium priced accomodation in an area that badly needs it. With non-refunable reservations, I gave up my $$, to stay in a place that was cleaner.”

“The room was neat and tidy. There was a microwave and frig in the room and lots of towels. The day before we left, they were busy cleaning up the yard. The owners have done a lot of work in the last few years improving the property.”

“The room was great, clean and updated. Unfortunately the property was under renovations which affected the breakfast area and the spa/pool area. We didn’t know this until we checked in. Staff were apologetic and did their best under the circumstances. Bagged breakfasts were provided - nice touch. ”

“You get what you pay for - a basic room. Check in was easy and the staff were nice. Cons were that the noise bleeds heavily from the road out front and the hallways. I couldn't turn off the porch light either and the light really comes through the blinds. There was also a spat between other patrons at about 1am (that can't really be blamed on the motel) but it was quite loud and kept me awake.
