Il cottage gode di una posizione tranquilla che si affaccia su un pittoresco lago con vista sulla campagna sia sul retro che sul davanti. È situato in posizione ideale per una vacanza rilassante e rappresenta un'ottima base per esplorare Norfolk Broads, la campagna, le città di mare e le spiagge.

Troverai molti animali selvatici da ammirare intorno al lago dietro il cottage. I bambini devono essere sorvegliati in ogni momento mentre si trovano nell'area del lago. A pochi passi dal cottage si trova un pub tradizionale locale e l'accesso a Weavers Way (un sentiero ferroviario nazionale smantellato).

Le spiagge sabbiose come Sea Palling e Mundesley sono facilmente raggiungibili in auto, ideali per famiglie e passeggiate. La vicina città di Stalham ha tutti i servizi essenziali come edicole, negozi locali, banche, farmacia, piatti d'asporto, pub e un Tesco con garage per benzina.

Altri villaggi e città popolari come Horning, Wroxham (per Broads, gite in barca e noleggio di barche giornaliere), North Walsham, Cromer e Great Yarmouth, sono facilmente raggiungibili. Norwich è un luogo ideale per lo shopping e le visite turistiche, con parco e giro disponibili. Ci sono diverse proprietà del National Trust a portata di mano.

Il cottage in stile tradizionale ha due camere da letto e 4 posti letto. Il piano terra è a pianta aperta con un comodo salotto, TV, DVD, video e stereo (una biblioteca di video, CD e libri sono forniti), tavolo da pranzo, una cucina ben attrezzata con fornello, forno a microonde, frigorifero e freezer. Le porte scorrevoli del patio dal salone si aprono su un patio privato esposto a sud con vista sul lago. Il primo piano ha due camere da letto; una doppia con vista sul lago sul retro e una doppia con vista sulla campagna sul davanti, entrambe con armadio a muro e cassetti. Bagno con doccia sopra la vasca. Ci sono due posti auto direttamente di fronte alla parte anteriore del cottage in una zona comune in ghiaia. Lenzuola, asciugamani da bagno, strofinacci, elettrico e riscaldamento sono inclusi.

Un ripostiglio condiviso con lavatrice a gettoni e asciugatrice è accessibile alla fine del blocco cottage.

Peaceful cottage

Lovely cottage with views of the lake, lots of games, dvd's etc.No wifi but not a problem for us. Saw our first ever kingfisher through the lounge window!

Rural, peaceful location

Great location in a beautiful setting. Very poor signal on the mobile and no broadband but knew that anyway. Second time I’ve stayed. A bit of updating with decor as a bit tired but overall met our needs.

Not bad

Nice place, could do with another cupboard to put your food in. The mattress was appallingly uncomfortable/cheap. I like the place/location but will not return due to the bed. ,

We had a lovely stay here, it’s very homely and the lake outside is beautiful. We enjoyed sitting outside lots and listening to the wildlife. The cottage is the perfect size for a small family and within driving distance to a lot of places. We will definitely be staying here again, thank you :)

Well located

The house is beautifully situated between the Broads and the north Norfolk coast, both within easy reach although the house is location is quiet and out of the way. The lake at the rear of the house is lovely and we saw frogs, newts and a kingfisher during our stay. The house itself is well-equipped and comfortable. I see other reviewers had issues with hot water but we had no problems. Lack of wifi is not a problem for us and we knew there would be none before we got to the house, but we also had no mobile signal and 4G which meant that while we were in East Ruston we were completely uncontactable which was more of a concern. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you!

WOULD NOT STAY AGAIN .

Could be a very nice little place if the spent the money doing it up was very disappointing there was no washing machine but one was in a shed with cobwebs spiders not going in there lol no ironing board or iron again full of cobwebs in the shed outside around the side the kitchen needs more bigger bots hot water was a miss match couldn't sit outside as the furniture was broken and Rickety there was no fan so was very hot shower curtain was dirty the towels were small carpets were worn need som sort of mesh door on back as were its a pond lots of flys got bitten lots of times were have been to a lot of places and would go back but would not go back to this cottage SORRY ..

Clean and simple holiday home, with patio with an absolutely stunning view. Ducks, swans, geese and even a heron occupy the lake in front of a pretty tree screen. Ample books and video library for more than a two week stay. Location is excellent for walks or visits to stately homes and idyllic villages. We left an ordnance survey map of the area for the benefit of future occupants. Suggestion: share a WIFI service with the neighbours, as non access to the web was a challenge.

Super location

Beautiful location. Didn’t appreciate walking through face height cobwebs throughout the property. After previous reviews stating issues trying to get hot water we understood this to have been addressed, however, there was no hot water and no guidance. We eventually sussed things out but a bit of concern initially. Nice homely and comfortable place to stay.

A pleasant, comfortable stay

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Fairly remote if you like it quiet. Lovely surroundings. Everything we needed in the well-equipped cottage. It would have been useful to have a help sheet for boiler for heating and hot water, as we don’t like to fiddle with it and it wasn’t on when we arrived, although Lisa said it should have been.

Perfect place to come home after a long day out.

Really suited our purposes well. Pretty much what we expected when we booked so no disappointments there.Location is ideal for exploring north Norfolk and cottage is in a beautiful remote lakeside location.... very peaceful. We would definitely use again and would recommend. Lorraine Smith.

Grandparents holiday treat for Grandchildren

The grandchildren loved the outdoor area and enjoyed feeding the ducks. Well placed for a lovely trip on the Broads and plenty of attractions nearby. Lovely weather in a really nice house.

Nice Cottage and location. Very disappointed when trying to contact owner!

Cottage very nice, in need of a little TLC but clean. Lake view lovely and would have been lovely to have been able to sit out on the patio and take in the views and relax if there had been a parasol provided to stop us being blinded by the sunshine. Because of this lack of thought we had to sit inside curtains closed (thank goodness we had the foresight to bring our own fan) until the sun had gone behind the trees, so from about 7pm we were able to use the patio and could enjoy breakfast there as the sun was on the front of the building. We attempted to contact the owner to ask about a parasol but to-date she has not responded to the telephone message left on Monday 18 July. All the other properties on this site had got parasols available, obviously their owners had taken into account which way the property's patio faced, i.e. south/south. west, and shading would be needed for the summer months to be able to have the full experience of enjoying the lake views, not just because we had a "heat wave." This really spoilt our stay and would not feel inclined to rent this property again.

Beautiful setting, cosy cottage.

Beautiful , picturesque setting. Cottage was comfortable and clean, a little dated but had extra touches such as dvds and books you could enjoy whilst staying. My only disappointment was that the patio furniture was very rickety and only two chairs were usable. I had been so looking forward to sitting outside and enjoying the amazing views. If the patio furniture were replaced with plastic or metal it would be easy to wipe dry and use anytime. But this is only a small criticism, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would fully recommend to all our friends and family and will be happy to return for another visit.

Excellent Stay, Cant wait to go again.

Loved it, cant wait to go again. Owner was fantastic and very friendly. Cottage was welcoming and relaxing, everything you needed. Location was convenient for all the places we wanted to visit.
