Meltfort Village is fairly remote and the only slight downside of our visit was that at this time the restaurant was not open due to a change in franchise at this time. There are some lovely hotels within a few miles, most are dog friendly so it was an opportunity to try out the delicious local seafood which was amazing. It was a beautiful drive up and back from Glasgow along the lochs, (Lomond and Fyne), we were blessed with some gorgeous days and a stay in this area is a great opportunity to visit and explore the many coastal ports and towns from Inverary right up to Fort William. At Meltfort itself, the facilities within the unit are excellent, including a great selection of books. it was cosy and well equipped. The staff were warm and friendly and extremely helpful. THe planned activities were a lot of fun. We had the good fortune to be staying New Years Eve which we spent on site. The meal was excellent thanks to Chef Diane. New Years Eve entertainment was also excellent and this was provided by Andy who did a fab job of entertaining us all with some great music, mostly from the Rock and Roll 60's era. The gym facilities and pool area are quite small. The hot tub is great, the sauna is best booked as it is tiny. Its not a place you could just visit once, I would like to come again in the Summer. For keen photographers it is absolutely delightful, its such a pretty area.
