“The place was dated but had charm. It wasn’t very clean… the common areas or the room…. the mattress cover hadn’t been washed clearly bc it had surface stains and under the beds were dirty. Mattresses were old so they were uncomfortable.. The construction supplies were blocking handicap parking too…”

“The motel was clean, it was nice parking right in front of the room. It was spacious, although the shower was a little tight. The towels were very thin. The check in was smooth, but if you needed something it was harder to find someone to help you. It was a cute, retro motel, and the history of it was fun, especially since we were there to visit the redwoods. I gave it 4 stars because the beds weren't very comfortable. Other than that, it's great for a one night stay”

“The fact that this is one of the few properties located on the beach is the reason we chose it. It wound up that we didn’t spend much time at the beach, and the property is pretty worn, so I’m not sure it was worth it. The staff were super accommodating. They have a coffee room where they provide fruit and oatmeal, and there were some snacks available in the office, but I wish they had more of a breakfast.”

“The staff was vet friendly and kind! The room was updated and very clean. The beds were comfy. The ac worked very well and parking was nice because you are able to pull right up to the door.”

“Peeling paints all over the wall, rusted soap dish in shower, three hair stuck to the wall, no hair dryer in the room, no large bath towels (just thin coarse medium and small hand towels), and moldy strips in bath area. We will not stay there again.”

“It was a good stay overall. As a solo traveler the area felt a little sketchy and I didn’t love the open breezeways. Bed was super comfortable and room was clean. Staff was really nice checking in”

“Overall the stay was fine. We got there late so don’t have a lot to base it on. Staff seemed young but was okay. The building seemed a little run down but it was clean. The view from our room was amazing.”

“this place is not a typical stay. its a room in a house where the owners live. the room is huge and rustic. it does have a musty odor but that could be from being close to the coast. no tv but for us thats ok. shoud be listed as an airbnb. good value for the price. off the beaten path definitly not for the non adventerous. host very accomidating. i would stay again because the price was right. romantic charm. give it a try!”

“The room was clean. Ì was in need of an accessible room & traveling with a service dog & a disabled individual. The room was very tight. The property was not set up for a dog. The only close place for it to use was disgusting from no maintenance & no other dog was on sight so no one maintains this. I fell on uneven concrete surface on the property going the other way. There is no one on sight. You check in over a machine in the office & if a kind young man had not shown me how to use the...
