“We were “welcomed” by a waitress whose attitude ranged somewhere between laziness and open disdain. When we asked if we could have dinner, she said she could ask if there was a table available, and in the meantime we could sit at one of the bar tables. We politely agreed. “This hotel was a gem of a find! Wouldn't hesitate to go back. I had to call a few days before check in with some accessibility issues and the lady who answered the phone was wonderful, very kind and understanding!”

“The room we had was for three people. It was the size of a small apartment. It had a microwave, small fridge and a jetted tub. While the hotel is on the beach our room faced the other way which had the advantage of not getting the afternoon sun.”

“We had a sea view en suit room - but unfortunately, was not aware that we would have 6 flights of stairs to climb !! Very hard work in your 70’s and recovering from chest infection !! No help offered to carry bags when checking in either from the young man on duty . No A/C just a small fan which made no difference in the extreme heat - especially as you could only open the window a tiny bit due to health and safety rules . “Thank you to Heather, she was kind and helpful and responded to requests quickly We were not disturbed by the night club since it was out of season and a Monday night. Room was good value for money. It could probably benefit from a lick of paint and the mattress was a little uncomfortable, but okay for 1 night.”

“A wonderful stay in the middle of the countryside! Colleen and Griz were perfect, friendly, down to earth hosts and their recommendation for a local pub for food was lovely! It was also great to meet their dogs who were so keen to have a bit of fuss! Breakfast was stunning and freshly cooked. The room had a really comfortable bed and everything was clean and welcoming. We'd highly recommend Ty Mawr to anyone wanting a stay in the lovely West Wales countryside.”
