“This home was perfect for our larger cousins weekend! Kids lived their best life with the volleyball, hot tub, riding bikes, swinging the golf clubs and playing on the inflatable slide we brought during the day and relaxing with KPop on a number of tv’s in the evenings. The adults enjoyed the all of the space to relax, have a drink and enjoy the view. Although the kitchen is not large you can fit everyone on the two bar sides and the table is perfect for big groups. Ken the owner was super easy...

“The lodge was very clean and well stocked when we arrived. We cooked every day and never felt like there was something missing. The location is awesome. The commercial ice machine was a game changer, never had to run to the store to stock ice for coolers on the lake. Ray and Carrie are excellent hosts who were very quick to respond to any questions. We will definitely be back to "The Lodge".”

“Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty,...
