Welcome to the beautiful Studio on the Bay, located close to the picturesque community of Opua and 10 mins form Paihia. Relax, enjoy a comfortable stay in our modern, sunny, north-facing self-contained studio. The studio is situated on a stunning, bush-clad elevated property, Wake to birdsong with wall-to-wall uninterrupted views of the bay and beyond.

Recently renovated and beautifully decorated, the studio features its own access via 7 steps leading to a sun-trapped private deck with amazing vistas across the bay.
Stunning sea views await from the ranch slider entrance and a wall of windows across the Bay of Islands to Kerikeri inlet, Russell and Bay entrance to the Pacific.

The fresh, modern studio is accessed via a ranch slider having comfortable sitting area with sofa and easy chair, a 32inch smart TV provides for your entertainment streaming needs via the studio WiFi.

The king bed has a support mattress and bamboo topper for your comfort, hotel grade linen and a seletion of pillows. Have your morning coffee in bed and take in the view. Ample storage has extra blankets and pillows, hanging space, room for your travel bags along with a suitcase stand.

The view from the dining/work table is very distracting! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything to prepare light meals and snacks.
A large microwave, 2 ring gas hob, 4 slice toaster, kettle, under bench fridge with small freezer compartment, and sandwich toaster.
The studio is on mains water which is fine to drink however, a manual water filter is provided in the fridge for a cool filtered supply. Washing and cleaning products are provided.

The separate bathroom has a ceiling fan, shower, toilet and vanity unit, all towels, handwash, body wash, shampoo and conditioner are provided.

All cleaning/personal amenities provided are eco friendly and crulety free.

A simple breakfast starter pack is provided for your first morning along with tea, coffee and milk.

The Opua to Paihia coastal path (5.5kms 2.5 hours) is 2 minute walk away with access from a scenic lookout point.

We are located 6kms from Paihia, and 30kms from Kerikeri.

The Opua marina with car ferry to Okiato for Russell is a five minute drive (2.6kms). The marina area offers local facilties including: a well stocked general store with post shop; a takeaway outlet and laundromat. The Opua Cruising Club (Weds-Sun) welcomes non-members and offers a bar and bistro right on the waterfront with beautiful views.
