“We always enjoy staying here. It's centrally located to be able to walk to the campus and around town. Sometimes we get a bathroom that is small and there is no room to keep our toiletries, however this time we had a good size bathroom with plenty of space. Always recommend the Shattuck. ”

“The property was okay, rooms were decently updated. The restaurant attached was a little overpriced for what we received. Staff at front desk were a little cold to approach however, the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I was not expecting it to be right off the freeway. And the bar closes pretty early. ”

“This little gem has become my home away from home in Oakland. It has everything you could want in a city that already has everything—great food, cool bars, amazing music, plenty to do, etc. It's all brand new in a renovated space. The rooms are large and comfortable, the bathrooms are sparkling, and the service is impeccable. There's a rooftop courtyard, a game room, and good eats and drinks right next door. It's more comfortable than anywhere else in the Bay Area, and just as accessible. Well...

“This property was not at an acceptable standard for Holiday Inn Express. I also had issues with the tub not draining, called it in twice and it was never fixed. Staff was less than helpful and rude when I checked out.”
