“We really enjoyed staying here. We had a family get together at the Ozarks State Park and needed to accommodate a family member with a wheelchair that could not camp. It worked great for him and us! Beautiful secluded location in the woods. If you’re lucky the neighbors dog (Coco) will come by and say hi. She is so sweet! Lots of critters out at night by the lake. It was a lot of fun lotto the frogs. We saw a snapping turtle during our stay too!”

“Absolutely beautiful. The cabin had everything one could need. If you forgot something, they have it. The hosts had fresh milk in the fridge, fresh muffins out in the counter and other breakfast items. Bed was very comfortable. Hosts were attentive. While we did not get to enjoy outdoor area like planned, again, they have everything you could possibly need. Soo peaceful out there! Thank you for the experience.”

“We had peaceful getaway at the Hix Lake and Cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable with a well-equipped, generously stocked kitchen. “Dark and creepy if you’re a single female staying alone. Shower and toilet are a short distance to walk to at night with minimal light. The owners are on site which was comforting to know after realizing who the random lady was that in fact scared the heck out of my guest by beating on the window of their vehicle. Overall not extremely terrible but probably wouldn’t stay there again.. ”
