Although if it is not possible to have ironing in the room for safety reasons, but my colleague provided her with an iron and an ironing board which however was refused (you can ask your girlfriend). You have ironed onthe duvet and you burned it.It is normal that you will be charged for the damage at the end of your stay.If small, we never charge any damages.I would also like to remind you that you pretended not to know anything about the damage which is even worse.Probably if you had immediately told us about the damage, we could have decided whether to charge it or not.Next time if you do any damage, I suggest you to mention it...maybe you won't be charged.Best regardsEnzo
