The house is located in the coveted Valle d'Itria, a land of rolling hills, olive groves, vineyards and dark red soil surrounded by ancient dry stone walls. At the four cardinal points are the charming white-painted hilltop towns of Ostuni, Ceglie Messapica, Cisternino and Martina Franca, each with its own style and character. This part of Puglia can plausibly lay claim to the best food in Italy. There are six Michelin-starred restaurants within a 30-minute drive, and these are arguably not the best in the area.
