Original Pacific City Schoolhouse - Oregon Beach Vacations
Step into a beautifully preserved slice of Oregon history at this unique vacation rental in the heart of Pacific City. Originally built as a one-room schoolhouse, this historic gem has been thoughtfully renovated into a charming three-bedroom home that perfectly balances nostalgia with modern luxury. After a day of exploring the rugged coastline, you can soak your worries away in the private, steaming hot tub located right on the property. The home sits in a prime location that allows you to enjoy the best of the area with ease, situated just a three-minute drive or a leisurely fifteen-minute stroll from the sandy shores and the iconic Haystack Rock.
The interior serves as a living museum, artfully curated with authentic memorabilia that pays homage to the building’s academic roots. You will find a vintage school desk on display that was once used by local students, and the original schoolhouse bell remains a proud fixture of the property. These historic touches create an atmosphere of warmth and storytelling that you simply won't find in a standard beach rental. The layout is designed for comfort and connection, featuring a fully equipped kitchen for preparing coastal feasts, an inviting dining area for shared meals, and a cozy living space with a smart TV and electric fireplace, perfect for evening relaxation.
With three well-appointed bedrooms and one full bathroom, the home provides a restful retreat for families or small groups looking for a stay with character. Every corner of the house reflects its storied past while offering the conveniences necessary for a contemporary getaway. Whether you are sipping coffee in the light-filled living area or walking down the quiet streets toward the beach, this historic schoolhouse offers a one-of-a-kind experience that connects you to the heritage of Pacific City.

Great spot and fun history. The beds were comfortable. Well stocked for cooking, hot tub towels, and supplies for the fire pit. Will keep on the list for future visits!

This is such a wonderful place to stay! I highly recommend staying here. Not only is it close to town but the whole schoolhouse vibe is great. It's got a nice big kitchen with everything you would basically need. The place was clean and loved staying there. Hot tub was great and I liked that it was a bit covered and right outside the back door.

We loved our stay at the old schoolhouse, nothing really old about it as everything was clean and larger than expected from photos. They had everything we needed even spices for cooking and disposable toothbrushes! So happy to have stayed and would come back!
