This was the perfect stay to start the Road to Hana and the town of Paia is so lovely and had a lot of food options. The beaches around this area were some of our favorite. If you can, make a reservation at Mamas Fishhouse or try and walk in around lunch time-it’s worth every penny!

First time VRBO users. Christy, our contact, was very good trying to help us. Location excellent. AC did not work when we got there. Condo was extremely hot. Second day Christy came over but was not able to get it going. She gave up and said she would call the owners. About 30 minutes after she left, the AC came on. There were no luggage racks for the suitcases, so they were on the floor. Bureau space in one night stand that was not easy to get to. Squealing in the fan vent from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, very irritating. The TV in the bedroom would not work, the plug for the drain in the bathroom did not close. The booklet with instructions was inaccurate. The kitchen set up was very nice and other than the vent, the condo was clean. The beach towels and beach chairs were new and very nice. Proximity to the beach was very good. We would not go there again, especially for the price and no contact from the owners.

Nice condo outside of Paia

Great place to stay just down the road from Paia. We wanted to see road to Hana, Haleakalā, and upcountry Maui this trip. Perfect spot, Paia is cute and has lots of good restaurants too. Not too far from the west side either. Condo is clean and comfortable. Some road noise as mentioned in other reviews but didn’t bother us. We would stay here again.

Paradise in Paia

Located in a beautiful area. Good accessibility overall. Can get a wheelchair in unit, however there's some small spaces to maneuver in the hallway and bathroom.

Great place to stay! The condo is near a busy road, so it can get loud at night and in mornings since the bedroom is facing the road. The living room furniture was tired looking and could use an re fresh. Overall the condo was clean and in a great location!

The location was great for us. We wanted to eat at Mama's Fish House and then do the road to Hana. This condo was very convenient for both activities. The cute little beach a block away was an added bonus!

Very sweet place, great location

We loved this little condo! My son and I camped for a week on Maui, and we stayed at Kuau Plaza our first two nights. It was perfect! An easy walk to the beach, great kitchen with everything we needed to make meals, comfy beds, laundry machines across a grass lawn, and a lovely place to sit outside and feel that heavenly Hawaii seabreeze. The internet didn’t work on our last night- luckily we didn’t need it- but the host was very responsive when I reached out. All in all a perfect place to start our Maui adventure- we will be back!

Unfortunate experience

It is unfortunate that we have to write this review because it seemed like such a cool place in a cool area. When we checked in, the contact number was incorrect. The person we were talking to was literally the cleaner rather than the property manager so they were expecting this lady to answer questions she didn’t know. When we walked inside, it appeared clean at first glance until we saw all the dead flies on the sink in the bathroom. After walking around looking for a broom we found a few dead cockroaches and later that evening and the rest of our stay we saw cockroaches crawling all over the condo. It definitely gave us some worries about the cleanliness of the property and the safety of our food. I think we deserve at least a partial refund especially since we ended up throwing out some of our food (that was sitting out) the morning after we saw the roaches. Unfortunate because it seemed to be a nice property. It Just needs to be managed better

Cute modern apartment

Apartment is super cute, modern, clean, and the air conditioning is nice! My only complaint is the communication through VRBO and EVOLVE was poor. I could never speak with a human abs we didn’t receive any information about our rental until the morning we were supposed to check in. That was frustrating and a bit stressful. When we finally received our contact information, she was super kind about granting us a late check out on our last day.

Wonderful experience

This property was perfect for us. It’s in a great location to explore the Road to Hana (we did Twin Falls one day and the rest of the drive another day) and it’s such a great location if you have a small child. We loved walking to the little store and to Mamas beach to snorkel. Also the property manager Christy is an angel and was a fantastic communicator.

Nice but under delivered for the price

Overall space was adequate, but under delivered for the price. Place was clean, plenty of clean towels and easy to access. The property manager checked in to see how our stay was going on day two of our four night stay which was nice. The unit was recently remodeled but craftsmanship is not great. Barn Doors stick, gouges in drywall, cheeper furnishings. The bedroom had an odor that was very faint but smelled poor (pee). We were unable to trace the root of it during our stay so we didn’t notify the property manager. It wasn’t any of the bedding thank goodness. The unit does not have a dishwasher / dishes appeared dirty so as a precaution we hand washed all plates, cups, utensils before use / highly recommend doing this. For this rate our expectations were much higher than what this property could deliver. It is overmatched with no view and no curb appeal. It’s rough asking this price but understand that the owner want to recoup their investment.

Great Jumping point for Road to Hana

We stayed at the condo for 2 nights as a starting point for the Road to Hana and exploring northern Maui. We loved exploring Paia and the condo was a great location for that. The condo is recently remodeled and greatly appointed with everything we needed. Communication was great and they even helped us return to pick up an item I forgot after checkout. Great place!
