July 4th Family Vacation

We really enjoyed our stay OTHER THAN the elevators. The wait time was TERRIBLE. Unfortunately, we will not be back due to the elevators. Hopefully they will fix this issue in the future.

The elevators you have to have patience but the one cloest by itself works the best. Definitely will stay again. Enjoyed the mixture of people and beautiful sight from this floor.

Always Waiting and not enough.

The location was astounding, staff were wonderful and the condo was exceptional only because of the Balcony view. There’s not adequate elevators or pool/hot tub space for the amount of people that are there during a busy time.

The location was nice but a lot of walking to get to condo. The unit is pretty dated. The bed had broken springs and when we called about it they just put another foam mattress pad on top of the two already on it. We had one teaspoon. The cleanliness was questionable. Dining table very stained and old looking. A lot of dirt on the bar stools. The broom and mop were hanging in the same closet as all the large kitchen appliances, ex: crock pot, larger pots etc. Three large floor tiles are broken and move around if you accidently step on them, very easy to cut a foot. My husband's socks were dirty from walking around the floor. Apparently not mopped in quite a while. It was OK but we wouldn't stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

Quick getaway

Booked a random few days to enjoy the beach! Sadly it was a bit too cold but we still enjoyed it. Place was nice, needs a few changes. Daughter found a bottle in her bed when she went to sleep the first night. The tile in kitchen is busted on one. The knifes were still dirty with red lint it looked like and the bed is hard as a rock. Overall though we had a great time and I will be back!

Could use some love

This place looked amazing online when I booked there was just a few issues. I, myself could not personally open the front door it stuck so bad my husband had to do it every time. There was also 2 tiles broken by the spare bathroom that was quite alarming to step on. Bedroom fan didn’t work :( after being on the hot beach all day that would have been ideal for me. Just seemed a little dated and simple things could be fixed. Trim in the bathroom being one. The washing mashing smelled like mildew so bad I could barely keep it Open for very long. Def needs a little TLC but overall it was an amazing view and location. I had also messaged the company when we got there about the fridge not being cold and never heard back.

Elevator Nightmare

Everything was good except the elevators. We waited anywhere from 15 min.-45 min. Many times they were either full or not even running! We were on 21st floor and ended up having to hike down and up because waiting was taking so long or elevators not working. There were many people in the stairwell complaining about the problem. It was hot and stuffy. This will prevent me from staying at The Tidewater ever again. One couple left early to go to another condo. This was unacceptable.

Great location and view

Staff was friendly and helpful. Beach access was easy, it was a great location, beautiful view , clean unit, had great communication with rental company. The only issues were the elevators took some time to get on one and neither hot tub was hot (one’s jets were not working either). Would stay again!

Very poor overall upkeep and cleanliness

-Bed: Extremely poor condition, old, uncomfortable, flat and extremely worn mattress. -Sofa: Pillows on sofa were very soil. -Guest bathroom: Tub drain would not stay open. And the sink stopper would not pull open, water sit in sink. -Iron would not heat up. -Floor tile loose in kitchen hallway. -Poor overall upkeep and cleanliness. -Would not recommend unit nor book it again. -This location really took the excitement and joy out of our anticipated fun trip. This was the worst condo I have ever vacationed in.

Perfect Location

This location was perfect for a family on spring break. Lots of families, very few college kids. The unit was spacious with incredible views. Probably could use a tad bit of updating but overall we would definitely go back.

Rough start

Got there the door code did not work but after several tries it worked after changing the code for the third time. After getting that taken care of everything else was fine nice room a little updates needed but worked perfect for the two of us on a quick get-away over Thanksgiving.

Absolutely perfect EXCEPT for the bed

Everything about this property was wonderful and exactly as advertised. It would be 5 stars EXCEPT the king bed in the master is absolutely terrible. Springs are broken and it is horribly uncomfortable. Elevators are very slow but that’s expected in a building that big. I highly recommend… just make sure there’s a new mattress….

Great time

We had a great time. The only complaints about the room was that it was a little hot during the day and we couldn’t adjust the thermostat. We had to leave the curtains closed which blocked our view of the ocean. The elevator wait time was long during the day but it was fall break and we were on the 21st floor so it was ok.

Needs updated and tlc

This pictures listed are not what you get. The furniture was not the same, the bed was awful! The dryer didn’t work. The whole place needed some extra attention. It was clean but very wore out. The management team was amazing and got us moved elsewhere!

Not the best Tidewater unit we've stayed in

First, the good -- great views of the Gulf. Beds were good. The unit, overall, was comfortable enough. But having stayed in a handful of different Tidewater units for fall break trips over the past 6-7 years, this one was the worst. Nothing was enough to make us run screaming, but just one small issue or problem after another. Our packet with bracelets and parking pass wasn't ready at check-in. Door code stopped working after a day and we had to call and get another one. The unit itself needed some updating and attention to detail -- rusty washing machine, one of the bathroom sinks was super slow to drain, a broken towel bar and toilet paper holder in the other bathroom, nasty-looking stained pans to use in the kitchen. This was our first time renting here through VRBO, and the first time our beach chair reservations weren't included (would have cost us an extra $50 a day if we'd opted to pay for them). No thank you. Like I said, the stay was....ok. But not at the level of quality we've come to expect at this property. I would return to Tidewater, but would not rent through this property management group again.
