It could use some major TLC. The shower curtains in both bathrooms are visibly moldy and malodorous. The wood floor on one of the bathrooms is soft next to the tub, from water damage. The upstairs loft area had a window that would not close all the way, leaving it hot and muggy up there. The beds were comfy and it was as clean as a cleaning personal could get it within their abilities in the allotted time they are given.

Terrible

Absolutely terrible experience. Only stayed one night, as I woke up the first morning with bed bugs everywhere! Only one out of the three beds had them, as no one else in my family got bitten. By that night I was covered in bites on my face, neck, chest and arms and had to get oral and topical steroids! Trying to rectify the situation with Vacasa was a nightmare experience and will not be renting through them again!

No one showed up or called when I got text message that a local team would come or call to help with an issue. There's no central management of this property. It's several different companies not properly communicating with each other. There needs to be someone checking in on this property between stays to see that details such as working batteries, cobwebs, sand, cosmetic wear, no instruction sheets with electronics or storm door function are taken care of.

Small But Roomy !

For a little house ( compared to others in the neighborhood) they really utilize all the space and plenty of storage space if you are planning on staying for a while . Minor inconveniences as there are with most Airbnbs. But I would definitely stay on this property again and the management was great as well !

House has issues

This is our 3rd year at this location and love it and this house has the perfect lay out for my family. Im not asking for any refund and would love to rent again, but these are things broken in this home and I can send pictures. The lighting in the family room is absolutely none. Wooden rocker in front porch broke, back fence broken, grill is rusted out, remote control for tv is broken, one lamp to the right of fireplace is broken, the shower liners are too short so therefore the shower curtain has mold, also ALL overhead vents are FULL of black dust. But the worst is the electrical. Neither bathroom outlet will work. Several other outlets worked when the plug was only 1/2 inserted and not when plugged in. This needs to be looked at. I hope it is addressed, and fixed. Please let me if you have success in getting homeowners to fix.

Great Getaway

We have been staying at Carillon for 13 years and like Ve the community, beach and a overall experience. We have stayed at multiple properties, all have been emaculate. However, this year, the property we stayed at, What's ya Hurry, could have had better upkeep. A lot of things were broken or not in working order. The kitchen was not well stocked with essential items. But it was very clean and spacious. It just needs a little extra love and attention to fix broken things.

Good location

The location is great—quick 5 minute walk to the beach and right across from the pool. The closest beach access does have stairs and there’s no way to avoid them, this made it difficult to be able to use our beach wagon. The house is cute but was in need of a deep clean. The carpet was stained, there were some stains in the kitchen, 2 clogged sinks and the floor was very scuffed up. The kitchen supplies were also lacking, something to keep in mind if you’re planning on cooking. Very little cooking utensils, chips in mugs, no hot pad for oven, etc. However if those things aren’t priorities for you then I would say this would be a great rental—again, we were very pleased with the location (beautiful neighborhood!). The Vacasa office was also very helpful and answered any concerns right away.

Okay

The house is roomy and in good location. Easy walk to the beach. However, there were several lights out and there were not any potholders in the kitchen which we discovered after putting a dish in the oven. I told the managers about that the day after we arrived. They said they'd bring over some potholders. However, they did not. The house needs maintenance and a deep clean.

Great place great service

Fantastic house! Stayed here with a set of grandparents and a little. Plenty of space for everyone. Had small issues with the shower and tubs which were corrected the next morning. Would travel here again

Perfect Spring Break

We loved staying in the pink house! Swinging on the front porch for coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. The two beds in the living room are very large and much better than we expected. Great place to stay!

Perfect accommodations for us.

Very nice home. They definitely cleaned this house up since a few recent reviews indicated a need for it. Clean and comfortable. Location was great for our main activities including beach, walking, friend’s homes in complex, and basketball courts where our boys lived. All walkable, safe and easy to get to relative to other popular beach areas. Amazing walking opportunities from beach to trails too. We didn’t have personal interaction with owners, just management company, but they were helpful.

Great home

This home was amazing. The location for starters was outstanding. It was close to the pool and you can walk to the beach instead of driving. The house was roomy indeed. Only thing that made it go down a bit was the upstairs bedrooms. It was a tad dirty. But other than that the home was excellent.

Nice but Needing a Couple Fixes

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Carillon in Sweet Retreat. The house was nice but there are a few issues that need addressing. - The dryer - Works ... but Poorly - Takes three 80 minute cycles to dry 4 beach towels. Ended up just washing and air drying on the hooks outside by the driveway. Hooks on the backs of the bathroom doors for bath towels would also be helpful. Looks like they used to be there but have been broken off. 2. The Leaning Sofa of Sweet Retreat - The sofa is worn out. The only seat that is level is the middle cushion. If you are on one of the sides you are on a serious tilt toward the middle. 3. Exterior Door in Kids Room - The kids room has a door that exits the house to a small porch. The lock on this door is broken. Fortunately, our kids are older so we were not that concerned. The kids actually enjoyed making "traps" for any potential "bad guys" that may try to enter from the street side including a huge pile of shoes in the door threshold to trip them up. 4. Upper Bunk Bedding - Found that the upper bunk bedding had not been changed. Long black hair and grit on the sheets.

Nice property layout. Loved porches!

Loved the layout , but cabinet door underneath sink was missing and dryer did not work. Beds a little uncomfortable. Plenty of room, and bathrooms were nice.
