Wonderful hotel
Fantastic hotel close the beach. Staff very good. Pool clean and nice. Parking perfect and Wi-Fi working good. Perfect for family, I came back in future.

My room was great. The view of the ocean was legendary. I really wish the poolside bar was open during my visit, and while I understand it's seasonal, it should've been communicated to guest scheduled to stay. It was one of the main reasons I chose to reserve here

The location was excellent, pricing affordable, checkin was extremely easy, male associate was very helpful. Check out was strange. The 2 women at the desk did not even look up, didnt as if they could help. A guest walked in, one of the ladies asked if she needed hep, as if i wasnt standind there. I put the key down and left.

The staff didn't know anything about the area. I asked for a good restaurant and they did not have a clue as the where to find a seafood place. I put the do not disturb hanger on the door and housekeeping came in without knocking.

Everything except the bed was good. Bed and pillow were very uncomfortable. They need to purchase new beds.

The stay was pretty good until close to check out time. Around 9:00 am I called the front desk to verify check out time & they told me it was 10:00am. I didn’t think that was the time we were given when we booked the room. But either way I asked okay well can we have a little later check out? The lady on the phone was very rude and told me we could have until 10:15 that was it! I looked back at my reservation and it definitely said 10:30. Then at 9:50 someone (room cleaning Man) just opens the door and comes in our room, NO!, knock, NO!, Hello? NOTHING!!!! So! Not only did they not honor the 10:30 check out which is one of the reasons we decided on this hotel but then the rude front desk lady didn’t honor her 10:15 check out they send the cleaning people in 10 mins before 10:00 am.

Stayed here 2 times in a 2 week period. The first stay went great, which is why I booked here again. During my second stay, I decided to extend another day. After booking another day for the trip, Gloria who initially helped me told me to call the day of my initial checkout to let the desk know that I was on size already and would like to stay in the same room so housekeeping would not enter our room because she had confirmed the extended booking. Instead of calling I had gone to the front desk to handle it that way instead of over the phone. Shauna who was at the desk that morning was very rude. When I had explained to her that I was just checking in on my extended day she made it very difficult. As she was "trying" to help me, other customers would walk in. She would drop everything and help them, leaving me standing there. She then proceeded to say very loudly that my card was declined. I asked how was that possible when Gloria had told me it processed 2 days before. She then told me she needed to see my ID to confirm, in which I had to walk back to get my ID. When my son realized I was talking a long time he came in and all of a sudden everything was fine. When I asked her how my card was declined and if there was anyone else who could help me she completely ignored me and said everything was fine. Handded me my ID and new room keys and said I was set. Happy with everything else. Do not want to deal with Shauna in the future. Very very unprofessional.

Room was clean and comfortable , pillows could have been better but not terrible. It was nice and quiet not hard to get out of parking lot on to the road ( not much traffic ) at this time of year .

Property and the staff are fine. The ocean and the beaches are fine. What Expedia did not tell me is that the airport from the hotel about an hour and 10 minutes away so you will need a car if you land in VSP airport it would’ve been nice if he kept their bar open, there was no place to buy soda because the shelves were empty, and there was no bar to get a drink or anything. Also, the beach chairs that you see in the picture you have to rent $40 Diem

For an older hotel it’s been maintained well. The pool was clean and warm. The view was amazing. The staff was friendly. The appliances in room appeared to be new. Our room was clean, check in was smooth easy and able to check in early. Overall, I’d recommend it to a friend and I’d definitely come back to stay again. The only thing that would have made it better was an outside bar. I understand the hotel switched ownership and had issues with the liquor license. Not a deal breaker I had my own drinks.

When I called the hotel they got the email almost instantly and then booked tonight for tomorrow night w hotels of America for 15$ cheaper but they didn’t receive the email right after like they did w Expedia. This is my third time staying at palmetto . Used to be owned by a family and the room service was daily on room cleaning now they got bought by the seas company and only offer room cleaning every 3 days. Everything else was the same still very nice to stay at

The Room was sold out, never was the same as Expedia promoted and the reacomodation was in front of the bilding were Room was derty and not ready. I refused to stay .

First off all. I’d say overall this was a great hotel and experience. My wife and I brought our 5 year old down from AL for her first trip to the beach. It started off rough. Our room wasn’t ready, and wasn’t ready for hours. However, I simply spoke with the GM Glen, who was very gracious and understanding and he not only gave us an upgrade, but gave us two days free and a discount on our room. The room was fantastic, the beach was lovely and the pools are fantastic. They were out of some minor amenities, but that’s to be expected a few days after spring breakers came storming through. The point is, it was a good hotel. If you ever have issues with your hotel or stay, just talk with your management without maki by a scene. You’d be surprised at how they’re willing to help out. Thanks again!
