  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

At the last moment a decision to travel alone and being in a small depression was bad as I was going through a breakup yet this home was just what I needed, quite, great location as it was just minutes walk to the beach, clean house and the staff was great, even called me after my first night to make sure I was ok

This is a very well put together home! They have everything needed to stay I would just recommend bring extra laundry soap and dish pods! All together it’s a very well organized home! The walk to the beach was very easy too with kids or without kids! Definitely looking to book here again!! Host was very helpful too and checked in ever morning!!

Just okay

The property was okay, but definitely not high quality and the description was misleading. Some of the bed linens were dirty. There was left over sand throughout the house. The trash can at the curb was overflowing with trash. There were several blemishes throughout the house, including the back door that needs replaced, broken blinds on the front door, and tears on the screens of the back windows. Also, the outside shower is non-operational. The listing says 2 parking spots, but if you’re in a truck or SUV it’s really one. On our second morning, I woke up to a cockroach outside the master bedroom. However, the location was nice. It was a short walk to the beach, close to dining and shopping. The master bed was decent and the AC worked really well.

Not what it seems

The location is great for the beach, shops, and eating out but that is the extent of the good things. The place is in a serious need of a deep cleaning and repairs. Black mold in the bathroom and on the shower curtain, dirty window sills and baseboards, and stained linens were among issues we ran into. Was very disappointed.

Okay for short stay

The house had amenities described but the yard was mainly sand so I had to swept the porch and entry every day due to sand sticking to our shoes. I had to get a ball that rolled under the couch and found it was very dirty underneath it. It looked like there could have been food or something else under it. The back of the house, the room going outside was not in good shape. The beds were uncomfortable. The neighborhood was quiet but not very nice.

You get what you pay for!

So, I booked this place for a few reasons. I wanted a house that was pet friendly and not a condo. I was also searching sort of last minute and my options were limited. It looked cute enough and based on other reviews I thought it sounded ok. We are very close to the beach and sandwiched between two major highways so you can hear traffic once day breaks. The neighborhood is old and sketchy for walking my dog . I had to be on the lookout for broken bottles and food on the during walks. The inside of the house had the cheapest utensils, cookware, chairs. There was no place that offered comfortable seating. The first time I sat on the bar stool the bottom rung fell off. The sofa was gross and smelled of dog and SOOOO uncomfortable. Lumpy! I covered the sofa with sheets so I wouldn’t get so grossed out by the hair. My dog doesn’t go on furniture so it was a true turnoff. Um, super yuck is how I’d sum this up!

Late review August vacation

We stayed in August and had a very pleasant experience. Management was quick to respond even about beach parking. Previous reviews are pretty accurate in regards to the back door having water damage but there is a second door that made us feel more secure! Quiet neighborhood even with construction going on next door. Neighbors were kind! Will 100% book again.

Perfect location for us

This was the perfect location for us to stay, in the heart of everything but with your privacy. We traveled with 2 Yorkies and the size of the cottage was great. There were a few things that could be upgraded, like the back door was severely weathered but there was a secondary door that made us feel more secure. We will rent this location again! Thank you for everything!

Private & Restful

Peaceful, quiet neighborhood. Such a change from over crowded condos with long wait time for elevators, What a nice backyard to have morning coffee & cocktails in the evening. While grilling fresh seafood & steaks. Just minutes from Pier Park shopping heaven. Dining out. Highly recommend Fire Fly Grill & Salt Water Grill (make sure to call for Reservations). Definitely skip pineapple williys & Wicked wheel. Definitely overpriced food. Is definitely poor quality. Walmart is right down the road & Publix is maybe a five minute drive. Fishing & Golf is so conveniently close. So much to do, definitely will be heading back.

Area was safe enough , beaches very nice. The place was definite described correctly as “ a cottage “, area not up-scale but pleasant. We enjoyed our stay, but we booked this place because it was dog friendly and thought the back yard was totally enclosed ( it was not ). They did respond to the few issues promptly but the issues were things that should not have required us to call them.

Perfect place for me and my dog

I had to be there for work and didn’t have a dog sitter. This place was perfect! Easy walk to the beach and a few restaurants. Coffee hut about a block away.

Great little house in a perfect location!

My wife and I stayed in the Seahorse Cottage for a little over a week while we were in PCB visiting friends. It was a great clean place to stay and is located in a perfect location. Property is exactly as described and pictured. We found the neighborhood to be clean, safe and walkable. We would definitely consider staying at this property in the future.
