Waves of Happiness! Fish The Canal-11-Pools & More

You will have Waves of Happiness when you let this townhome be your beach home away from home! This 2 bedroom 2.5 bathroom townhome is located in the gated community of Gulf Highlands. You will feel miles away from everything inside this quiet resort, yet walking distance or a short drive to all that is going on in Panama City Beach! This unit is only a 2 minute walk to the beach! With plenty of room for everyone to kick back and relax, you will feel right at home! Primary bedroom has king bed, with attached full bathroom w/shower. 2nd bedroom has twin bunks plus a queen bed. 2nd full bathroom is also upstairs. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare all of your meals. The spacious living room has a queen sleeper, and half bath all downstairs.
Gulf Highlands Beach Resort has 11 swimming pools, 5 of which are heated throughout the winter months. Tennis courts, shuffleboard, pickle ball courts, wifi hot spots, and the unit itself is a short 5 min walk to the beach. There is also a beachside restaurant restaurant complete with private beachside pool and beach access.
Beach towels are not provided, guests must bring their own. We do have equipment for the amenities and beach chairs for your use.
Must be at least 21 years old to book.
Pet friendly - $50 pet fee for up to 2 pets
We provide a startup supply of paper towels, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, trash bags, and toilet tissue.

  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Terrible

This rental was a huge disappointment and absolutely not as advertised. From the moment we walked in, it was obvious that cleanliness and maintenance were not a priority. The floors were dirty, and there was sand in the beds, which made it feel like the place hadn't been cleaned after the last guests.Even worse, part of the ceiling nearly collapsed in the washroom during our stay — a serious safety hazard that made us extremely uncomfortable. This kind of issue should never happen in a rental, and it's clear the property is not being properly cared for.We did receive 275.00 credit which was appreciated but for what we paid & went through it should have been a lot more!!

Absolute Waves of Happiness

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waves of Happiness. The townhouse and furniture are a little dated, but we found everything comfortable. The bed was very comfortable too. We enjoyed the backyard patio and the canal with lots of turtles and birds.The location within the property was ideal. Close to a pool and Pickle Ball Courts and a five minute walk to the beach! We found everyone very friendly at Gulf Highlands including the staff. The amenities were well maintained and the common areas were always clean.We used many of the 11 pools and enjoyed a few games of mini golf and Pickle Ball. The property is ideally located within walking distance to great restaurants, bars and Walmart.The beach is absolutely amazing too!Nikki is an amazing person to deal with and very quick to respond if you need her.We definitely recommend Waves of Happiness and the Gulf Highlands Beach Resort!

Wonderful Clean Location

Quiet and relaxing

We loved that the property was so close to the beach. The owners we met are friendly and the condo was very clean. The pool was not heated. In order to play mini golf or shuffle board you have to bring your own equipment.
