Hi Regina, Hope you are well. To say I was surprised to receive your review, is an understatement. You gave absolutely no indication of your dissatisfaction with ANYTHING in the condo during your 5-day stay, and in fact, I was personally occupying my other rental unit next door to the one you occupied; thus you had the owner’s (my) presence right next door and said nothing. The glass coffee table is light-weight and easy to move. I have been renting these units for many years, and not once has anyone broken the glass tabletop. Somehow, you managed to do so, reported it to me right away, and offered to order and pay for the replacement glass. I ordered the glass and had new glass in place within 5 hours of your initial notification. The cost of the glass ($137) was deducted from your damage deposit. You explicitly told me you would pay for the replacement glass. The gas grill was not “filthy”. My housekeeper cleans it after every guest leaves, so it was clean when you arrived. Regarding the changing out of the stove gas grates, I do this periodically, and there was no need to do this before the commencement of your stay. It was coincidental that I happened to change them out during your stay because we were both checking out that same morning as I change them periodically if I am there otherwise my housekeeper takes care of it. To conclude, I take great pride in making sure my guests enjoy their experience in Nassau while staying in one of my condos. You were charged for the damage to the table due to negligence on your part, and you agreed to pay for the damage. I believe your other complaints emanated from your displeasure with this issue only. Hi Carmen, First of all, I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your trip to Nassau, but I feel the public should know the truth. I take great pride in making sure each and every guest’s stay in my unit is memorable and enjoyable and I always make myself available to all of them 24/7 as you can see from the other reviews. My last 26 reviews before yours were 5 star reviews as well as the 5 star review left by the guests that checked in immediately after you. Bottom line is that everything you wrote was a lie. I took your allegations of mold in my unit very seriously, as I take all criticisms and observations. You know this, since I took care of your other minor concerns on Day 2 of your visit, right away. You mentioned the garbage disposal was not working and that the toilet seat was a little loose. I had a new garbage disposal installed the next morning along with a new toilet seat. You also complained that there were no cleaning/disinfecting products available to you. My housekeeper always disinfects the unit after every cleaning. My housekeeper brought those cleaning/disinfecting products to you the next day. You replied with the following: “The plumber was timely and efficient. Thank you for being so responsive and responsible. Really appreciated. We are looking forward doing some fun things and relaxing. Thanks again.” That said, as soon as you mentioned "mold", I immediately contacted and hired an independent mold remediation company. The inspection was done. There is no mold in my unit. You mentioned there was no report from the mold remediation company. That is incorrect. The report can be seen below. I am not even going to address the rest of your ridiculous “observations”. They don’t warrant the waste of my time. It is obvious that you decided to shorten your stay in the Bahamas, for whatever reason, and chose the path of making unsubstantiated, slanderous allegations against me and my Unit, with the intention of obtaining a refund. You requested a refund for the 5 days you did not stay because you called my place, in your own words, a “health hazard” which is completely untrue. I even offered you a 50% refund, which I did not have to do, and yet you refused my offer because you wanted the full 100%. You cut your trip short for no good reason that I am aware of, and because you did not receive what you wanted, you concocted falsehoods. Your story simply does not hold up. If my Unit was such a pigsty, I hardly think the guests that followed you would have given my Unit a 5 star review. I truly hope other VRBO hosts will not be subject to your bizarre complaints.
