Ocean Front Beach House

Sunrise è in una zona estremamente popolare per il nuoto sicuro, la pesca, il kayak, il collezionismo di cuori ed escursioni.
Godetevi la spaziosa zona giorno open space che scorre sul ponte. Il giardino d'inverno è perfetto anche nei giorni che non sono soleggiati, i panorami sono fantastici - o coccole dentro dal fuoco.
C'è molto spazio per parcheggiare la barca e i giocattoli, l'acqua è fornita da uno schema privato per uso esterno.
Per gruppi numerosi e famiglie, la bacheca "Sunset" proprio accanto può essere affittata per spazio extra, davvero comoda! Dorme 5+

L'estuario è famoso per il windsurf e il kayak. Tavole e piccole imbarcazioni possono essere utilizzate da un centro di navigazione in fondo alla strada (vedi supplementi).

A pochi minuti dal famoso Mussel Inn, a breve distanza da Collingwood troverete caffè, negozi di alimentari, pub, cioccolatini Rosy Glow.

Questa zona ha un numero di ceramisti e studi di artisti, giri di Farewell Spit, Wharariki Beach e Heaphy Track.

Wharaiki Beach - Questa è di gran lunga una delle più belle spiagge della Nuova Zelanda! Enormi formazioni rocciose, immense colline di sabbia, immense caverne, scogliere, dune, sabbia bianca e tenute per bambini. Il sentiero è sorprendente attraverso fattorie e bellissime colline. Puoi anche incontrare i pavoni nel parcheggio!

Farewell Spit - Farewell Spit è lo spiedo di sabbia più lungo della Nuova Zelanda (25 km) e una riserva naturale. È un santuario ornitologico di fama internazionale con oltre 90 specie di uccelli registrate nella zona.

Heaphy Track - Una delle nove fantastiche passeggiate della Nuova Zelanda. Molte persone scelgono di camminare solo per le prime o le seconde capanne sulla pista invece di camminare per tutta la lunghezza che hanno servizi igienici e strutture per l'acqua corrente. L'Heaphy Track, una delle "Great Walks" della Nuova Zelanda, è ora un grande giro. I mountain biker sono ora autorizzati dal Department of Conservation a guidare la pista Heaphy tra il 1 maggio e il 30 settembre.

La cittadina di Takaka è a soli 15-20 minuti di auto dove troverete molti negozi per la terapia di vendita al dettaglio, bar, negozi di alimentari e mercati il sabato.

Older style bach with plenty of room across road from lovely beach. Went to Collingwood and bought some DVDs as no other suitable options available on the rainy evenings. Otherwise fine.

Parapara Beach is awesome in winter and no doubt amazing in Summer. The house is rather worn and neither washing machine nor oven worked properly. There is a heat pump but it struggles to maintain a comfortable temp on a cold night. Better options in area for next time.

When we booked this basic property we did all that was required of us, with a huge upfront cost that oddly I am not permitted to specify under this review, plus a substantial bond which we were not informed about until after we indicated a wish to book the property. Shortly after our arrival ( 17:30 hours), we found there was no hand soap left, and only a few drops of dish washing detergent, after I decided to wash all the glasses, plates and cutlery when we discovered food remnants, and grease on plates and utensils- there is no dishwasher. There were only 3 rolls of toilet paper which is barely adequate for a family of 5. The accommodation is a 15 minute drive from Takaka, so we were reluctant to get back into the car and drive to the supermarket to purchase these items. I called Shona Rentals, (1800 hours) but there was no answer, so I left a message. After one hour having received no response I sent a text message, (1918 hours) but when there was no response we decided we would need to purchase the items from Takaka. At about 1949 hours, I received a call from Rus- on behalf of Shona saying she had staff off sick to explain the situation. Problem was his manner was unhelpful. He kept reminding me that he was busy dealing with his other business, (which we now know to be the Pohara Dairy) and that he would need to drop the items off after 2130 hours. It was patronising and in your face stuff, verging on rudeness- he was so obviously not sorry. He kept talking to other people during our conversation, cutting me off as I spoke, saying he had a line of 10 people deep. I questioned why he had bothered to call in the first place if he could not premise the call in a genuine fashion. But he just did not get it. Significantly, the accommodation has an ant problem. There were ants on the bathroom vanity and on the morning of our departure they were crawling all over the benches, and on our food. It is totally unacceptable to be renting out accommodation when there is clearly an issue with ants- it was obvious that this was known to the owners because in the bathroom there were numerous ant carcasses that suggested some earlier intervention. Despite the reasons for booking this bach, which was to celebrate a family birthday, the memory of our stay will be completely marred by events that were entirely avoidable. We have a place in the Marlborough Sounds but thought a weekend at Golden Bay might on this occasion be a fun thing to do.
