One reason we booked is due to good reviews, so we were surprised by what we found. Conveniently situated near 2 Metro stations, shops, bars, restaurants, the apartment is in a traffic-free street, however is situated above a Metro line with trains rumbling underneath all day. There was also noise from neighbours to the side and above. As stated the toilet and shower have separate doors off the lounge. The washbasin opposite the toilet has no door, so basically is in the lounge, with no privacy. Great to have a washing machine, though sadly it takes up most of the space in the shower room and there isn’t any room to get dressed. The size and set up is OK for a couple, and I can imagine it might be uncomfortable with 3 or more people in the apartment.Frosted windows give privacy so one can see neither in, nor out. Also as it is managed by a company (helpful when available) so any issues/messages outside working hours/weekends are not addressed immediately. A few issues including broken/missing kitchen items have been noted to the company, hopefully they will fix them notably the boiler is very noisy and water is alternately hot and cold; if you are a light-sensitive sleeper, there are no black-out curtains.We did not use the downstairs home cinema room, partly because we came to explore Paris, not watch movies, and partly because of the steep steps/ladder down. Personally I felt that the advert overhyped the apartment and I would not stay there again with these issues
