The Marais district is one of the most lively and diverse in Paris. You will find a wide variety of museums, historical monuments, restaurants, bakeries and other tourist attractions.

Among the museums to visit, we recommend the Picasso Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of Pablo Picasso's work in the world. You can also discover the Centre Pompidou, a contemporary art museum with unique architecture, or the Musée des Arts et Métiers, which has a fascinating collection of inventions and scientific objects.

If you are looking to discover the historical monuments of Paris, don't miss the Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the most emblematic buildings in the city, or the Place des Vosges, one of the oldest and most beautiful squares in the city.

As far as gastronomy is concerned, the district is full of famous restaurants. We particularly recommend the famous restaurant "Chez Janou", known for its traditional Provencal dishes, or "Le Derrière", a trendy and friendly place with inventive cuisine and creative cocktails. You can also try "Le Pain Quotidien", a chain of bakeries known for its organic and local products.

Speaking of bakeries, don't miss the famous "Maison Landemaine" bakery, which offers delicious breads and pastries. If you're looking for something more typically French, try the bakery "Au Petit Versailles du Marais", which offers a variety of fresh croissants, baguettes and other baked goods.

For the must-sees in Paris, you can visit the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Élysées, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre and many others. We also recommend a stroll through the streets of the Latin Quarter, or a romantic walk along the Seine.

Finally, two Parisian favourites nearby are the Buttes-Chaumont park, a beautiful natural park with a breathtaking view of Paris, and the Place de la République, a lively place with many cafés and restaurants. Make the most of your stay in this lively district to discover all that Paris has to offer.

There are several public transport options.

The nearest metro station is République, which is about a 5-minute walk from the accommodation. This station is served by lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11, which allows you to travel easily throughout the city.

The nearest train station is Gare de l'Est, which is about a 20-minute walk or a few minutes by metro from the accommodation. This station is served by many regional and international trains.

There are also several bus stops nearby, such as lines 20, 56, 75 and 96, which serve many destinations in the city.

If you prefer to take a taxi, we offer a tailor-made private chauffeur service to take you from the airport to the flat. To give you an idea of travel time, it takes approximately 30 minutes by taxi from Orly airport, 45 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport and 1.5 hours from Beauvais airport.

Finally, for travellers wishing to explore the city by bicycle, there are several self-service bicycle stations (Vélib') near the accommodation.
