“First of all Bayeaux is one of the most charming towns we visited in France. The location of the Declic hotel is the best in town. You are across the street from the weekly massive market. The market was better than most I've seen in big cities--fresh fish, freshly baked bread, fruit and vegetables galore, tons of cooked food, cheese, meats and lots of hot prepared food too. “The staff were wonderful! Everyone spoke English, which made it easy to understand their helpful hints and directions to attractions. The breakfast was great, the bar was excellent and they made us a charcuterie board for dinner when we were too tired to go out after our long tour. If you are looking for a place to stay in Bayeux or anywhere near the D-Day beaches, I highly recommend this hotel.”
