“The property was very clean, nicely decorated and an incredible view. The owners Susan and Callie were very conscientious and responsive to our needs. There are 22 steps down to the property from the street which we did not realize which made carrying luggage a little difficult, especially in the pouring rain. I recommend this property.”

“We stay at this guest house at least yearly and it never disappoints. The host is very thoughtful and has made sure everything is available for your stay. The Keurig coffee machine even has a “shot” size that is perfect for a packet of instant oatmeal. The location is quiet with great onsite parking and is centrally located so it’s easy to get to any of the Monterey Bay area attractions. Seaside has grown and there are excellent restaurants and brewery in town.”

“We liked everything about this classic, updated motel. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. We had a standard, amply-sized room with a fireplace as a bonus, at an affordable rate. Feels like a mid-century California coastal motel, in a row of similar places down the road. It was a little bit of a walk, not terrible, to the downtown and Cannery Row locations. We walked throughout of our 3-day stay without trouble. We'd stay at the Arbor Inn again to visit lovely Monterey.”

“Our experience at this hotel was terrible. It was impossible to contact them before arriving. When we did arrive after 6 hours in the car they would let us use a restroom and it would be 3 hours until check in. The woman kept adding a day to my stay. And as I requested a downstairs room for the 5th time she put me upstairs. Another woman working said they need a downstairs room. So finally we did get the downstairs room. “The shared spaces and bedrooms were very nicely updated. However the bathrooms really need updating. If you’re tall (I’m 5’10”) be ready to duck under the foyer and kitchen lighting and both showers.”
