Pecatu is a really fun guest house! Beautiful pool, fun common area, and wonderful staff. Everyone staying there was very friendly and we all became close quickly. So glad I stayed here at a friend's recommendation!

Great location. Good atmosphere and good price for value. We had a room on top floor with balcony and sea view witch was so great but man, our room stank so bad from the bathroom, and there was no door into the bathroom. We searched where it was coming from but could not find out. We told staff about it, didn't do much or apologise, think I've been living in Indo long enough to not expect an apology anyway Haha. Well, we stayed another night anyway because already paid for but oh my god the room stank so bad. We didn't come there to watch TV but we checked and there was no cable. Shower head was in bathtub witch was not convenient at all, and the bath itself was so uninviting with pealed off paint and looked dirty. The floor was dirty aswell in bathroom, with hair in the drain and no towels on floor, which made everything wet all the time. And, the toilet kept running which Was highly annoying with the fact there was no door. But yeah if you're on a budget, looking for good atmosphere and good location then this is the one.

Globalement exceptionnel.

L'endroit est très bien situé sur bukit ( temple huluwatu et plage de padand padang à proximité ) Nous y avons passé 3 nuits. La gentillesse et la bonne humeur du personnel est l'une de mes plus belle expérience à Bali. La cuisine ( mama ) est cheap et probablement une des meilleures également que nous avons testé. L'ambiance est assez backpack, mais les chambres sont privé, ( pas de dortoir ) Les points qu'il faut amélioré sont : Propreté des chambre ( les draps n'ont pas été changés en 3 jours, odeur d'égout ds les toilettes ) Le wifi, en panne lors de notre sejours.mais on nous a prêté un ordi pour pouvoir reserver la suite de notre trip. Concrètement, je recommandé vivement le peccatu, si vous ne cherchez pas le ressort spa avec confort occidental. Car le côté humain et l'ambiance plus la bouffe.... En font un endroit merveilleux.

울루와뚜 근처에 머무는 장소로는 괜찮은 편. 약간 저렴한 가격을 감안하시면, 청결도는 그 가격 수준. 리조트 여행을 선호하는 여행객이 아니라서, 지내는 동안 크게 불편한 점이 없었음. 수영장이 작은편이라, 태닝을 즐기는 정도. 오토바이 렌탈을 호텔에서 소개해 주니, 시간도 절약. 대체적으로 서퍼들이 투숙을 많이 하는 편이었는데, 나도 서핑을 좋아해서 괜찮았음 저녁 선셋을 테라스에서 즐길 수 있어서 좋았으며, 다음에도 이정도 가격으로 투숙을 한 다면, 재 방문할 의사도 있음.

Best stay in Bali!

We could only book into a junior suite and it was amazing. The staff are awesome. By far the best place to stay. And you can have a beer with the owner!

nice guesthouse and nice team. just stayed some nights and enjoyed the air condition but not the missing door in the bathroom, the broken tap and broken flush handle and the mysterious insect "building" behind the sofa. that was pretty disgusting

Because it is the place, it is very quiet and can enjoy nature. It is the hotel which is excellent even if the name to be called a guest house is on. The room which I reserved has the bathtub very widely and heals the fatigue of the trip. The scenery to show from a window is magnificent, and the sunset time is particularly romantic. The owner had it was very friendly and tell the sightseeing spot in various ways. It is the guest house where I want to stay at by all means on the next time.

Charming yet quiet guest house!

Pecatu Guest House was a lovely place to stay! The staff were excellent and very friendly, they helped us book motorbikes (50,000IDR per day) and taxis whenever we needed. The pool was lovely and the gardens are very peaceful to relax/sunbathe in. The hotel itself is a little dated but the rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. Only little niggle was not having a stand up shower, instead we had to stand in the bath and hold the shower over our heads but only a small grievance. I would definitely recommend this hotel but you will definitely need to rent a motorbike as it is in the middle of nowhere yet still close to the local amenities in and around Uluwatu.

Ruhiges Hotel mit gepflegter Anlage

Meine Freundin und ich haben von Pecatu Guest House aus zwei Wochen lang Süd Bali erkundet und wir sind mit unvergesslichen Eindrücken wieder nach Hause gekommen. Das Pecatu Guest House eignet sich vor allem für Surfer und Surferinnen, die mit Mopeds oder Autos innerhalb von 10 Minuten zu vielen beliebten Strände gelangen und gerne etwas abseits vom Schuss nächtigen wollen. Die Hotel Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und das Personal stets freundlich. Die Grundidee, die Insel lieber auf eigene Faust zu erkunden, als überfüllte und stressige Touren zu buchen erwies sich als ein ganz besonderes Schmankerl. Der Hotelmanager versucht einem sehr häufig diverse Touristenrundfahrten anzudrehen, was an sich nicht schlimm ist, wenn man denn den Mund auf macht und klipp und klar sagt was man will. Wenn man jedoch zu allem nur stumpf nickt, wird man von einer Verkaufsveranstaltung zur nächsten gefahren ohne überhaupt die Zeit zu haben zb. die wunderschöne Vegetation und Tempel zu genießen. Alles in allem der bis jetzt wunderschönste Urlaub denn je.

Not as promised

The hotel decoration is awful. If you're surfing with friends, no problem. But if you're spending your time with a girlfriend, go somewhere else. My room smelled like Naftaline (those white balls used to avoid cockroaches). I had to put them away in a plastic bag in order to stay in the room. The hotel is NOT 5 minutes away from Padang Padang. More like 15min. Pretty pricy for what it offers. I'd go for a similar price closer to the beaches...

worth the money!

the poolarea is great, cozy. big rooms. good standard breakfast. bathroom needs renovation, the rooms are kind of dark due to bad lightning. nice bed! rent a scooter, otherwise thr location of the hotel is remote, but everything in uluwatu is remote so either way you'll need car taxi or scooter no matter where you stay... absolutely worth the money, very cheap. service on the hotel is super, especially Eddie who is the manager, clearly service minded! all in all, yes I'd stay there again.

Nice homestay, lovely staff

Good stay when we first arrived in Bali. Pecatu is a little way from the beaches etc, but it seemed easy to ride hire a motorbike, or we just hopped in taxis which are pretty reasonable. Very good for the price we paid - which was rock bottom. Staff lovely and happy to help.

Amazing place to stay

We booked two nights here. The staff are amazing. We instantly got a $3 a night upgrade to a huge garden view room. The cheapest room is suited to the budget traveller, however the $3 goes a long way. Mama makes delicious food and avocado smoothies - at a good price! Although its further from beaches, it means it is accessible to everywhere - you can explore the area more! This is the first place that ticks all the boxes - good pool, food, shower, Wifi. Nothing is dodgy here.

Aardig personeel. Hotel iets verouderd.

Personeel is zorgzaam en vriendelijk. Hotel is verouderd. In avond naar strand lopen is niet mogelijk. Het is ook best ver overdag door warmte en bochten en klimmen en dalen. Geen winkeltjes in de buurt, wel een buurtsuper na 300 m. Veel taxi gebruiken of scooter. Personeel met name Eddy is erg aardig. Voor een budgetverblijf goed. Juniorsuite had prachtig uitzicht. Jammer dat op kamer geen sfeerverlichting is en vrij donker in badkamer. Eten had een goede smaak, wel eenvoudig.

Tolles Hotel in guter Lage

Das Hotel liegt zwar nicht in Strandnähe, ist aber mit dem Roller zum Strand nur 5 min. entfernt. Das Hotel ist großzügig gebaut und sehr sauber. Ein abwechslungsreiches Frühstück wird geboten, sowie ein nettes englischsprechendes Team.

Excellent value and great hosts

Pecatu guest house was a great place to stay in Uluwatu, a short trip to the temple and a few beaches. Mangu, the manager, is a standout manager and is one of the most honest and helpful people we have encountered in Bali. Recommended!

Nice hotel about 20 mins from Padang-padang beach

The staff are very friendly. Unlike chain hotels, they treat us as friends. Very helpful in getting us a rental motorbike to go to Padang-padang beach. Comfy rooms, great hospitality.

ok if call private backpacker

Well, we choice this place 5hs before we arrive so, wasn't exactly what we want but ok, The location is ok since you will need to rent a bike anyway, close of padang padang, uluwato e dream land. But very bad breakfast, spiders everywhere, no restaurant (since they didn't have chef). staff ok and nice but speak very little English, bad very good HK If you are looking for a "cheap" place and/or you are ok for a private backpacker, this place is for you, if not do not stay here because you will hate!

The guest house is pretty cozy, situated in a quiet area in Pecatu which every morning you wake up to the sound of roosters and has that farm lifestyle to it. Take my word for it, this place is for someone that's looking to get away from all the noise and people and wanting to clear their heads. The guest house is near Padang Padang beach and uluwatu beach which takes only 15 min on the scooter, which also you can hire one from the guest house. Overall the staff are great and has that family vibe to it, nothing fancy and everything is accessible.
