Castelli a Peebles

“It was really cool having a whole castle to ourselves for the night. There is clearly a lot of history here. Nice to be able to explore. Keep an eye out for the secret room! The price is very reasonable for having a whole castle to yourself. The caretakers we met were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. Peebles is a lovely little town where we were able to find restaurants and shops. Overall a great experience.”

“A beautiful, historic castle outside Edinburgh. Room was very nice--bed comfortable, bathroom clean and roomy enough. Restaurant in the basement is a "must do." Steaks are cooked over a wood fire. Food was superb. Only negative was that I learned if you don't book directly with Melville Castle then breakfast is not included. I used a Expedia to book, so no breakfast included, which didn't seem right given the room prices. Overall a great experience. My wife and I would like to return sometime.”
