“Perfect hosts in an amazing building! You would struggle to find more genuine, hospitable and friendly people than Carrie and Mike. Outside there is plenty of parking and beautiful grounds. Step inside, the rooms are generous, clean and with everything you could need. The breakfasts are lovely and nothing is too much. We will definitely be back, thank you! ”

“The whole stay from start to finish was perfect Alot of thought has gone into the decor and the comfort of the clients ,room was very spacious and clean ,Owners were really chatty and friendly,amazing breakfast choice too . Rooms were quiet with hardly any outside noise due to new windows ,lovely views and close to Betw-y-coed. Lovely walk by the river just over the road ,highly recommended. ”

“Very quiet and comfortable beds. Nice breakfast.. I ordered a coffee as wanted a latte that wasnt included. It was no trouble and made at the bar.. delicious. The hotel is very clean with nice toiletries and tastefully decorated throughout. Staff were frieny and helpful”

“Had a fantastic stay at The Slate. Staff are excellent and very handy having the restaurant and bar downstairs after a long day travelling. Note that rooms are on first floor up a staircase, no lift. Well appointed and cosy room with modern bathroom amenities. Would definitely stay again.”

Lovely relaxing spa facilities after a day out walking. Good central location for walkers. Accomodation was comfortable and clean. Would give it a higher rating than 3 star.
