Unique and inviting.

Gerard was easy to communicate with. We arrived at night and we were happy to see Gerard had left plenty of lights for us to see our way safely into the property. We were overwhelmed by the wonderful array of rock and roll memorabilia. The house was clean and comfortable. We have already recommended this property to our friends and family. Thank you again.

Though travelling for work this time would make a great holiday house for longer stays.

Lots of great amenities, immaculate gardens , very comfortable all around. Would stay again. It was quiet at night and the beds were comfortable. We really enjoyed our time there.

Exactly as described

Great Short Stay

We enjoyed seeing the music memorabilia, what a collection you have Gerard! Appreciated the large range of breakfast items to choose from. There were areas of visible dust, dirt and cobwebs we noticed. A good little short stay house that we could have our fur baby join us. Thanks again!

Magical destination

we had the best experience staying at high on Penguin facilities excellent and rocknroll memorabilia collection outstanding, star themed bedrooms eg joni mitchell, bob dylan jimi hendrix neil young and janis joplin each with their memorabilia The view over Penguin was stunning and our little whippet felt very welcome and secure. The communication and friendliness of the owner was excellent. He even went to the trouble of putting up a dog friendly barrier on the decking. Really good decking, sun bathing, bbq and drinks area. Top quality goods and breakfast provisions. Untold amount of music and reading material on music and musicians for your enjoyment.

Location and view

Beautiful location, lovely house but you really need to maintain the house keeping as it requires a good clean. My guests and I found the house to be very dusty, the oven requires cleaning, so did the toilet, shower recess has mould, spider webs on windows and walls and the balcony balustrade requires urgent repairing as it is very dangerous. We would also suggest you update the bed linen and the soap bars to smaller individual ones or supply body wash in a bottle. I was rather embarrassed for my friends, I have always took pride on booking great accommodation. I have booked many accommodation places overseas and locally, never have I seen a place in this condition. You also don’t state in the descriptions is that you live underneath. My guests and I were not happy about that and they felt uncomfortable.

Weekend getaway

Stayed for two nights with a group of friends and we all loved the location, the view and the quirky rock & roll theme. A lovely addition was the included breakfast. Owner was very informative on our arrival. However a few small details that could enhance the overall rating would be the cleanliness of the home and also the balcony balustrade is in need of some repair.
