“It's super close to the different monuments. Gettysburg isn't a big town, but the places near Lincoln Square are still very crowded. This hotel is not in that area and therefore offers a quiet atmosphere while still being very walkable to all of the different places. It also offers a great complimentary breakfast. “Very good 4 night stay overall. Location is perfect and parking was wonderful. Check in was fast with courteous staff. The room was clean; however, a few outside patio lights were out and hindered staying out past dusk. Breakfast was above average with good variety. Beds weren't the most comfortable but were ok. Recommend putting microwaves in rooms that are in buildings away from the main building and ensure there are working ice machines in all buildings.”

“We stayed in the Welty House section of the property. It was odd in that there was no parlor or common room to sit in. The room was ok. Nothing too special but it had an attached sitting room with more space & a large bathroom. Odd again was the balcony off the bathroom. We couldn’t find a glass or plastic cup anywhere for a drink of water…or even a complimentary bottled water. One advantage was in the heart of the historic district. Very nice welcome from staff - we got there a bit late in afternoon or early evening after excessive traffic coming from Philadelphia - both rush hour and construction. “This property is a gem for history enthusiasts. It contains a museum of artifacts discovered during renovations and is decorated to match the period it was built in. It is modern and clean however, with modern comforts like new outlets on each side of the bed and at both vanities in the bathroom. The staff were incredible. They even offered to carry a plate to our table because they could see our hands were full. Lovely place and even lovelier people.”
